The Foo’s day of Sea Hear Now has me a little interested, anyone know what the commute looks like? Public-transit wise.
From NYC - very poky and crowded train from Penn Station, it's almost two hours (need to switch at Long Branch), and then a 25-30 minute walk from the station to the festival site. I'd only do it again if there was a fantastic lineup, and only for one day.
Yeah I've done it a few times, once 3 days in a row for Bamboozle 2012. Really tiring (especially if you have to work the next day).
If this was the "TBA" on the season schedule, that's a bit of a letdown for those of us hoping for MMJ or ChemBros. *shrug emoji*
That IS a letdown if that's the final TBA. I still am amazed The War On Drugs has not returned to the city proper as they're playing a couple hours away in Aug.
This is cool but I miss the old Rock The Bells lineups. This kinda lacks diversity within the genre. They had a lot more conscious hip hop like Black Star, Common and Erykah Badu. Plus a second stage with underground rappers like MURS, Atmosphere and MF DOOM. Also up and coming artists like Childish Gambino, J Cole and Mac Miller.
EDIT: Like add Danny Brown & JPEGMAFIA, JID, Little Simz, Freddie Gibbs and Your Old Droog to this lineup.
This BRIC lineup is not amazing. A few good acts tho.
I'm pretty meh about it, already did the RSVP to the Head and the Heart but otherwise nothing in the freebies is pulling me there this year. still might pick up a $ ticket to the Revivalists show.
11/28 Raveonettes (Copenhagen, Denmark) 12/4 Interpol 12/14 LCD Soundsystem 12/31 Billy Joel 1/25 The Killers (Las Vegas) 2/12 Jack White 2/25 Father John Misty 3/6 Inhaler 4/10 Franz Ferdinand 4/17 Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds 5/15 Amyl & the Sniffers 5/18 Fontaines D.C. 9/1 Oasis

The only shows I'm interested in are Taj Mahal, John Cale/Tomberlin, Hermanos Gutierrez, Indigo De Souza Aug 4th but Metallica is playing that night.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is going to be at Barclays on November 3rd. Honorees are Willie Nelson, Rage Against the Machine, Sheryl Crow, The Spinners, Missy Elliot, George Michael, and Kate Bush.
No idea when the tickets go on sale. I’d love to see this, always been jealous of Cleveland for these shows.

Damn, I'd totally go to that free Indigo de Souza show if it wasnt the same night as Metallica. Soul Glo announced a show in Thompson Square Park on 5/26, I'm assuming it's free?

I've gone twice when it's been at Barclays, and hope to go again if that doesn't turn out to be the weekend I score for U2 in Vegas. It's a long night but a fun one (as long as they keep it moving with the speeches)!
