Sounds like they gave away a lot of tickets, guess the venue was a tad too ambitious for them.
Pretty big venue for them and they played three theater shows here last fall so not too surprising i guess. When I was there for Reset I noticed that they had altered an existing poster for the show to point out that the band features members of Radiohead. lol

Who was giving away all these Smile tix? Yeah, I think those factors contributed to low sales although then why did I not get a great ticket when it first went on sale!

I won them through a Brooklynvegan giveaway.
Interesting that they're doing huge giveaways for this FHS show, yet there are plenty of undersold shows there that don't do any type of giveaways. When I saw Coheed there last summer the place was less than half full and I don't recall seeing a single contest or giveaway anywhere.
Slightly frustrating show at Summerstage. First off, Metric went on about 12 min EARLY (supposed to start at 6:30, came out at 6:18) and played a slightly abridged set (7 songs vs the 9 they've been doing on this tour). Both Garbage and Noel Gallagher also played abridged sets with the show ending 10 minutes EARLY and set breaks lasting about 35 min each which seems a tad excessive given this is a show that's been on the road for nearly a month.
Also, the new set-up (I haven't been since 2017) feels a bit more tightly packed with the additional bleachers and VIP area. They also seem to not have enough bathrooms (I counted about 30-40 port-a-potties for 5k people). The concessions also seem poorly planned (both booths ran out of the sandwiches they sell before Metric even finished). As much as I may not like the sound at Pier 17, they at least got it together in terms of logistics.
On the plus side, all three acts were great and, I'm going to assume, it's likely Noel Gallagher's last extensive tour of North America given the poor ticket sales I've heard about.

Yeah, I managed to be there in time for them but yeah, they should have advertised the earlier start then. I also am not fond of the site layout these days, especially since they charge more for a bleacher seat now and everything feels more boxed in. I could only imagine a show with a single headliner and everyone there at once. I was really there for Metric and Garbage so the running order worked for me, I left after Garbage - have seen Noel before and didn't feel any great pull to see him again and I noticed a bunch of people left with me, as well as a bunch just coming in for Noel so if we were all there at once it would have really felt packed in.

They should have just started the show at 6 (not much different from starting at 6:18) to allow everyone to play their full sets. Metric felt excessively short and, again, super packed with that new layout.
RHCP, Megan Thee Stallion and Lauryn Hill playing Global Citizen Fest in Central Park Sept 23rd
Good luck having Lauren Hill on stage on time for this
I also have a conflict that night but that show probably won't even start until 10, and the probability of her being late makes me think RHCP will be on before her, so I might try to score a free ticket and then head to the other show after RHCP.

That Boygenius ticket is gonna be brutal, I assume they'll add another night.
Taking avoiding the mortal kombat that'll be this onsale as a silver lining of my current, unemployment-induced concert ticket buying freeze, because otherwise it's all FOMO.
Y'all think it will be that bad for them, it's freaking huge MSG? Not that I can go, will be just back that morning on a redeye. If I'm misjudging them then maybe I will go to the second date (presumably on the 3rd).

The co-headline with MUNA is more than enough to fill it multiple nights.
