Holy mother of God, I think the Browns have a QB? Is there a full moon, with a double rainbow raining down lucky pennies and four leaf clovers, while a unicorn prances through a field of sunflowers? We broke a Tierod in a fender bender, and now it looks like Taylor may not make it out of the garage again. I have to admit, I was not a Baker Mayfield fan going into the draft, but the kid is LEGIT! I <3 GM John Dorsey.
After watching Hard Knocks, it was obvious to me that Mayfield was the real deal. I'm just glad it took the Browns 2.5 games to realize it...

Imagine paying $45 on a running back and not even using him on the most crucial play of the game. Thank you, Mike McCoy maybe next week we can score two maybe three points after the first quarter.

Normally the Browns wouldn't have drafted the right player, and then would have Brownsed it up anyway by playing him too soon or jerking him in and out of the lineup until he lost his mind. I know, they've still won nothing, but people around here are still shocked that the team is doing things that aren't stupid. We never gave up, but success (or signs of a heartbeat, at least) can be hard to accept or expect here. We have five first round draft picks from 2017 and 2018 who are starting and playing well, while no first rounders from previous years are even still on the team. The Cavs went from 4-straight NBA Finals appearances to irrelevant in one off-season, so this glimmer of hope is a big deal. Should beat dem Saints and be 3-0 now. You're welcome, Stillers and Saints fans.
I enjoyed Hard Knocks this year, both because it was my team and because it gave us some hope in the form of a peek at something other than incompetence. The coordinators were hilarious, Landry was impressive, and Carl Nassib was entertaining, even if his assumption that you can conservatively net a 10% gain on your investments every year was ludicrous.

Um, I picked Le'veon Bell #2 overall in my redraft money league, not that anyone cares. At least I was able to grab Conner before anyone realized what was happening. But yeah, somebody is Arizona is going to pay if they keep refusing to utilize their best player.

The Brady-Belichek era is over - they are 1-2! Never mind the notion that they'll probably fix their receiving corps by talking some sense into Josh Gordon and getting Edelman back. They've ruled their division since a long time ago but the empire has crumbled, there's a new hope in the AFC East, and everyone knows a fallen empire never strikes back. The Dolphins may as well count their chickens before those eggs even hatch, flyin' solo at the top, even without the star power that used to win those wars. What could possibly go wrong for them now?
And Go Bills!!! Tied for Second place, silencing the doubters!
Defense still blows, but they did make a big stop at the end of regulation to keep Matt Bryant off the field. Drew Brees is still fucking incredible. Throws 80% for 400 yards, 3 TDs in the air, and then rushes in for the tying score and then the winning score. I hope to be a quarter of the athlete he is when I'm pushing 40. Big win and a great game. Hopefully the Saints can win at the Giants and at home on MNF against the Skins to go 4-1 into their bye.

No hate for Cleveland, because as a long-suffering Saints fan through the late 60's, 70's and 80's (we were usually better after that except the Ditka years and Katrina season), I know the feeling of cheering for bad teams. But one thing that stuck out to me after that win on Thursday was the crowd filming each other and shit like they'd won an important playoff game or the Super Bowl. I realize it's been 630+ days/almost 2 years since the Browns actually won a game. And I realize that makes it extra hard to act like you've been there before with a "win". I also understand frustration and pent up emotions and letting those go. But if it was me, I probably would have golf clapped, found one of those free bud lot coolers, got one and dumped it out or gave it to someone else because Bud Lot is not good beer and gone on about my way.

Damn man let us have our fun, and let us drink our shitty beer. BROWNS WON BABY!!!!!
My take on it all was that the Browns fans saw a new hope in that win, that they saw someone who maybe, just maybe, could one day fill the LeBron-sized hole left in the town. They started putting their eggs into the Mayfield basket when he was drafted, watched Hard Knocks and the preseason thinking "this guys looks legit", and then when his time to shine presented itself, he delivered. That win was symbolic for the city's new bright shining star stepping out into the sky. They're thinking they have a shot at a winning season, maybe even the playoffs. Shit sounds worth celebrating to me.

To recap, first and foremost, the birds won and Wentz is back. A little rusty, but he made some great throws and was able to extend some plays. The cowboys lost. The vikings lost. The pats lost. The NFC south is gonna beat the shit out of each other. I went 3-0 in fantasy. Bring on wk 4 and the tits.

Nail on the head. Don’t really have hopes for making the playoffs though. If it weren’t for kicking browns would be 3-0 right now.
