I legit feel bad for saints fans. NFL may want to pay some of those unpaid secret service agents to protect that side judge that swallowed his whistle on that PI call.
You can lose on some fluke shit but we have been snake bit the last two years. Fucking us in 2018 and then the referees in 2019. Damn. It sucks because there is nothing you can do. But fuck some shit like that.

I shouldnt say that though, because when the refs destroyed theJags last year, I didnt think we just deserved to be cheated out of the game even though we played a dumb game in the second half.

Bad calls happen. I’ve seen it happen to the ravens before in the playoffs. The saints messed up in that game and left the door open. The play calling was terrible once they got that big play. Shoulda just closed it off but they pulled a Payton and got cute. I’m happier with the Rams so no skin off my back.
The most obvious example of one of the most important penalties in the most important part of the second most important game of the year. An experienced red doesn’t just “miss” that.
Was a bit nervous Saints would lose this cause of defense and it seems like the Rams controlled the LOS pretty well and made plays at the end when it mattered. Wish the Saints won... some of their play calling in the red zone was awful. Kinda deserve to lose when you give taysom Hill the ball over drew brees lul.
Glad the Rams won, but there were some sketchy calls. New Orleans is probably rioting right now.
We should. That’s a fucked up way to go down. NFL will admit they blew it. Doesn’t matter now. It’s the difference between a legacy super bowl and going home. We go home. AFC all fucking day.

Sad to think that this season was probably Brees’ best shot at another Super Bowl and it was stolen. Rams-Chiefs could be the best ever but disappointing.
I understand being upset. I'm still not over the Music City Mirage.
But let's not act like the refs intentionally threw the game.
Edit: Not directed at anyonein particular.
I don't think it was on purpose, just to be clear. I just think the calls could have really gone the other way easily. It would be hard to be a ref and not make any mistakes or overlook anything.

That ref didn’t intentionally throw that call, come on. He just didn’t have the balls to decide a super bowl team by throwing that flag. He, in turn, had a role in deciding it the other way. Let’s not forget that the saints had the chance to stop the rams in regulation. They didn’t. They had a chance to finish it first in overtime. They didn’t. They had a chance to stop the rams in overtime. They didn’t.

I don’t think that. It’s like the last refuge of Trump voter fans - it’s rigged! Vegas would not take bets if so, but they continue on with that. We still got dicked in the ass whether or not it was intentional.

Man, Pats are starting this out exactly like they did against the Chargers last week, running off half of a quarter on a scoring drive. I’m hoping the Chiefs offense scores quick once they get on the field.
I really don’t see how a PI could get more obvious. Back turned, a straight tackle, and very early. It’s textbook.
I agree with you that it was obvious in replay. It looked closer to me in real time. I have just seen penalties that were ungodly obvious in real time moreso than that one.

If the refs do their job, the Saints win. That’s all that should matter.

It could not be the best ever regardless of how the game goes. Two second year qbs that have never suffered through anything. The Giants beating the Pats in 07 will forever be number 1 imo.

Watching it live I was thinking that they were gonna call helmet to helmet, which it wasn't. In regular game speed he was early but only slightly so. PI for sure but I don't think it was as egregious as you do.

You either get two of the bet young QBs or the legend v young great. Either will be great but god, couldn’t imagine being a saints fan and this upcoming SB being cursed.
