I think there's more Cowboys fans here than anything else. All the bandwagon teams are big. Steelers, Patriots, Packers, use to be 49ers and Broncos. There's not a lot of Panthers fans.
Exactly what band wagon are they on? The Cowboys haven’t been real contenders in a couple of decades. Except they did have a Super Bowl shot a few years ago if the refs had ruled that Dez play a catch against Green Bay like they should have. But yeah, a lot of people around here are old timers who still hate the Cowboys for the handling of Tom Landry’s dismissal or bandwagon fans of whatever team might be elite that given year.
Well I guess they chose them when they were winning and stuck with them. Same thing happened with Miami, Florida and FSU.

Gonna be a tough year if you can’t get help from the Oline. That was rough.
Haha. Fucking 48 on us too which was woeful. Fox mentioned the 88 is all time high points for opening week. I think Brees got 435 meaning he’s about 950 behind Favre for second and 1,050 behind Manning for all time.

That’s the right approach. But you guys had that ass kicked. I know plenty of Bears fans were loving that beating which was being doled out. But Rodgers. :/
FTP, but Bears suck. Trubiski is just another garbage QB in our endless cycle of embarrassment at the position.
I don't know. I thought he played pretty well when he wasn't being harassed. He made some plays with his arm and with his legs, and he didn't appear to make too many bad decisions. Toward the end of the game, Green Bay brought those 2 crazy blitzes - one where they overloaded the left side (right side of the offense) and blitzed from there, and the other time when they brought 2 CB's (one off of each edge). Those were quick developing blitzes. You're going to have to give Trubisky time to mature. If he's going to be good, it's not going to happen all at once.
I did think your ground game - particularly Howard - looked pretty good. As Pablo said, Bears are definitely a team on the rise. The difficult part of that though is that you're in the same division with the Vikings (super bowl contender), Packers (also Super Bowl contender with Rodgers) and the Lions who have been a .500 team for the most part except 2014 when they won 10 or 11 games. So it's a tough division to move up the ranks even though there's nowhere to go for you guys but up considering you've been in the cellar for the last few years.
He didn’t turn the ball over through the air, I’ll give you that, and he may end up being a serviceable QB, but not a guy they should have traded up for. He was shaken on the final drives. Couldn’t hit a receiver to save his life.

Same thing happened to Rodgers before he went out with the knee injury. It takes time to get that confidence. But Collinsworth was showing him hanging in there and still going through reads. I don't have an opinion on his ceiling, but he at least appears like a tough guy who can give you a fighting chance. There are only so many Brees's, Rodgers's, Brady's, Fitzpatrick's (haha) and shit to go around. So most teams will not have superior QB play and will have to rely on other aspects of their roster to compete for a title. It's not the worst place in the world to be. Plus, that half Mack had was f'n crazy. He was like a one-man highlight reel. If I was a Bears fan, other than being pissed off about letting the Pack come back and win last night, I'd be feeling a bit better about the future than I was heading into the season. They put up a real fight, and they had a chance to hold on for the win at the end. Better than losing 45-3 or some shit at least.
Yeah. But you never know who out of a class of QB's is going to step it up in the NFL and who is going to get the right QB and Head Coaches to bring out their potential. Mahomes is kind of in an ideal situation to grow because he's got many, many weapons that defenses otherwise have to key on. JMO, but I wouldn't be down on Trubisky yet.

I mean Jordan Howard, tarik Cohen, and Allen Robinson is fairly comparable to tyreek hill, Kareem hunt and Sammy watkins
Offense looked pretty great, considering we had to air the ball out to play catch-up most of the game. It's apparent we were missing Ingram in the run game. Kamara looks just as flashy and incredible as he did last year. That man is unbelievable. Drew was on fire. Michael Thomas was great.
But JFC that defense was the worst it's probably ever been. For us to have such high expectations on defense this year, I wouldn't mind us benching the entire starting 11. Just put in the second team D because it couldn't have been any worse than that. We will go 0-16 this year allowing 48 points to the goddamn Bucs at home.

Those are reasonably comparable players though I think Hill is in a class all his own.
The Bears are assembling a pretty talented team. But the other x-factor for Mahomes is Andy Reid who is as elite of an offensive mind as there is. Like I said, I wouldn't be super down on the Bears if I was fan.
