If they go the Gizz route and did this straight up with the bowl it would be more accessible. But since its a lease event thats not happening. Show is gonna have to be in november to sell most of its tickets though.

Last time they sold it out with strong help from Beach House support, but BH are arguably bigger than the Fleexes now, and that was also after a 6-year gap for them. Still, I'm intrigued. Their 2022 show was the best I've heard them sound yet, and one of my friends who was planning to come got covid that week.

If its on TM its a lease. If not then def kcrw. But that doesnt announce for a month.
Guess Ill see if I have a Fleet Foxes show on my season when they drop it. Always nice to have a loophole on the renewal and not forced to keep it before the announce.

Phoenix just announced during their Alter Ego stream that they're playing the Forum later this year. Kinda surprised they're trying an arena show again unless there's someone else big on the bill.
Meanwhile, I'll be seeing them in a couple days in Ventura. Good excuse to visit the family without all the Christmas stress this time.
Looks like Coldplay is Sept 30 and Oct 1 at the Rose Bowl. They sent a message talking about an iconic artist and announcing soon. I dont think LN would have Bey and Madonna the same weekend.
so does LA usually get a few decent sideshows during OSL weekend? my partner and I are vacationing here aug 10-15 and didnt even realize until now it was OSL weekend. also would appreciate any recommendations for a cool nightclub similar to nowadays in NYC, middlesex in Boston, and Smartbar in Chicago

So Aug 13 is a Kcrw World Fest date . So thats usually an OSL artist. Last year it was Parcels and Polo and Pan that night. Youll only have one lease event to pick from if they have one on the 14th. The other days will be classical or jazz. I would probably just tell you to go to the bowl anyway. You can find affordable tickets and its byob and food anyway. Worst case for that Sunday is its Reggae Night.
