Jack also selling $25 tickets for Lodge Room for Students Attention Students! A very limited number of student tickets will be available for $25 in person only for Jack White’s show at Lodge Room’s box office starting at 12:00pm on Thursday, October 10. These tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis with a valid student ID (1 ticket per student ID)
Man, DFA 1979 was a lot of fun at Pappy's but the venue shit the bed on getting everything right. The place was triple booked tonight and it shouldve gone reasonably well, but it didnt. Tropical Fuck Storm and Etran De L'air started half an hour late which then led to Dfa not opening doors til 12:45 am when they had said doors wrre going to be midnight. And that was a correction from their apparent error on the website and ticket saying doors were 11. So sat around outside for 2 hours just talking with people about Desert Daze. And then because the place has to close at 2, DFA barely fit in the album play and 2 extra songs. Oof.

Looks like it's a benefit show, but still, you can see most of these artists on their own for pretty cheap (even The Shins on the Oh Inverted World anniversary tour was like $60 for a good seat). Plus, if I'm paying top dollar to hear the soundtrack musicians from an annoying movie, it had better be one of the Twilight ones and not Garden State.

Wow good call, Twilight soundtrack concert would be NUTS, and I would pay quite a bit more for that than this.
I am the target market and would love to go to this, but I am so grossly offended by the pricing that I am going to pass out of principle.
So not even listed on the Greek site and no band promoted on their socials? Weird af.
And no news publications have written about it either. Super odd. Unlike say Eventbrite, you can't just willy nilly list events on Ticketmaster, so it must be real.
Can’t believe I got a ticket to see Orbital in a month for like $34. Hell yeah!
Yeah. Just dont like that we dont know the venue til the promoter sees how many people are interested and such. I mean the show is like 2 hours with both albums and an encore so at worst they go on at midnight?

Its real. But i guess since its a rental without a real promoter you can just do this. I still dont get why you wouldnt advertise it normally even if thats the case.

Saw Suki Waterhouse at the Greek last night. Probably the worst show I saw in the last 3-4 years. Sold poorly, maybe 50-60% full, but the lack of charisma, stage presence, just wow. Like watching The Voice where some random girl decides to do her Lana Del Rey impression.
That was previously a big art gallery space. Parking is shit though cause its on the north end of state historic. Hours changed too. Says it ends at 1.
King Gizz at The Bowl Aug 10. Figured that gap in their schedule seemed sus and somebody on the gizz sub confirmed.

They’re doing the Bowl again? Hmph. I guess LA Phil does love repeats.

Its with an orchestra cause its part of their tour. More like Kcrw is trying to make up for some lackluster years
