if spiritualized doesn't come any where near me when they announce their tour that could be big.
I couldn't see that tour skipping Austin (bare minimum) at all. That said, if that's what it takes to get you there, pretty sure he's just playing "select cities" this tour.

yeah i was hoping he'd finally hit DfN, but that seems like a pipe dream at this point.
i could definitely see him headlining levitation, but i'm also not really sure what's going to end up happening with that either.

From the latest newsletter:
"Our next lineup announcement will come in late September, when we’ll reveal another three dozen or so more artists, along with many more details about the full program for March 21 - 24, 2019."
That will bring us up to around 56 - 60 artists. I'm betting that we'll see another 10+ artists, after that announcement, trickle in...
If you've never seen Spiritualized, it really is. This just took my excitement level up a million times. It doesn't feel like a random post either.
My heart says two sets: Normal at Mill + Mine and "Ladies + Gentleman" at the Tennessee Theater with a choir.
My head says stfu and just be happy.
That would be fucking bananas.
Not unheard of though. One of my favorite shows ever was a Ladies + Gentleman at Radio City Music Hall with the orchestra and choir. He's done it recently, too.
Keeping fingers crossed but not holding my breath, if that makes sense.
If they have Julia Holter playing with an orchestra like she's doing at Desert Daze I'll have to make this happen
It would instantly jump to a must see list if that happened.
They both have US dates in February and new records dropping. It just makes so much sense.
I would be VERY surprised if this is not exactly what happens.
Question for anyone who remembers the old lineups... have they ever had Phil Elverum at big ears in some capacity? He seems like a logical addition at some point.

Mount Eerie would be enough to get me there on his own

Email blast outtake:
But that’s a mere fraction of what we have to announce next week, which includes a big birthday party for one of music’s most important record labels ever and a grand appearance by one of the world’s most revelatory rock bands. We’re thrilled to share it with you.
Southern Lord would be awesome, but ECM’s 50th is coming up next year, and they’ve posted on Facebook about the label at least once or twice in the past few months.

GA has always worked fine for me and I swear by it. You plan ahead and don't try to hit up every show, you're never gonna get stuck in line. That said, I have been tempted to do the "jump to the front of the line" passes. The only time I worry is when they stick something late in the Bijou like Swans or Supersilent.
Mensch Maschine goes Primere and can fill you in on that hopefully.

I've purchased the "Sonic Explorer VIP" tickets for a few years now (rather than Premiere)... but the main benefit they share, "jump the line," did end up being useful to me last year. That's mainly because I'm frequently running late to shows with the overlapping schedules and varying locations (and some of the bigger shows have lines queuing up early). If you plan your schedule a bit more selectively, so that you can get to the venues early (as garageland mentioned), I'm doubtful it would really provide $125 - $150 worth of a benefit.

Omg. I was thinking premier was the explorer pass. I'm officially 0 for 2 in this thread for the last 24 hours. I'll pull it together today, I promise.
