For the people who are planning to travel throughout Europe, I heard Macca is planning to do some more concerts in June. I saw that he already announced (?) four dates in France at the end of May. I got to know that he's in play for one date in Belgium, so that's exciting.
We may do this if all else fails. But for Cap'n Mac and I it’s a little bit more than just seeing Macca (I’ve seen him 6 times, Jack 3).
Our love story for anyone who gaf... lol
The conversation that led to us dating was about Glasto & a Paul rumor. Then we started talking about how Paul on the Pyramid stage is like festival goalz and joked about a dream lineup of Paul • Bowie • Prince. This was the start of an 8 hour conversation that eventually ended in us awkwardly deciding to date long distance, and obviously my eventual move to Sydney to be with him. We got married last year.
We’re also doing Europe next year as a delayed honeymoon. So seeing Paul, at Glasto, on our honeymoon would be a really special, sentimental way to bring everything full circle.
Not headlining, just on the bill. It looks like all 3 headliners are confirmed and theres nothing thats gonna change it. Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar and Mccartney.

This seems to be the prevailing thought. If they do come through, I wonder who they would schedule them against....Kendrick? Given all of the strong "second line" names being thrown around....Foals, Aerosmith, the 1975, Tom Yorke or even PSBs have all been mentioned, its going to be really interesting to see how they schedule the stages and what types of conflicts there are. Could be some tough conflicts to choose from (although that is a good problem to have!)
This isn't a knock against anyone here, but I can't imagine any scenario in which I would want to see Aerosmith versus just about any other band on the planet.
Seems like if Aerosmith was actually in play then a headliner role would be more appropriate (they would also be a first timer). With the legend spot already held down, Pyramid closer seems most appropriate. Whether people care for them or not, they are a way bigger deal than say like ZZ Top who played mid-day a few years ago.
If he is gearing up towards a new album/tour and has potential to play this one, we should be seeing him on waaaay more mocks. I can’t imagine him putting out a new album during an election year and then just staying in Europe all Summer. Seems like he’d be destined for a few stateside festivals as well IF he is truly active. The bookies might have some insider info that we don’t, though it’s not like they’ve been wrong before.

Yeah, nothing definite on Kendrick, just what the eFestivals board is saying. That board seems pretty locked into Macca/Swift/Lamar as the headliners with a few other names like Pearl Jam, RHCP or Madonna popping up now and then. There does seem to be some grounding to the rumors, but it also wouldn't surprise me if they are wrong. I wasn't trying to state it as fact but more as hypothetical matchups.
RE: Aerosmith
I have seen these guys 4 times going way back to the early days and within the last 10 years. I like them, but have seen them enough that I don't necessarily need to see them again. Of the 3 potential headliners mentioned, I would definitely see Macca and Lamar before Aerosmith and could go either way with Swift/Aerosmith. Interestingly, eFestivals doesn't seem to think of Aerosmith as headliners They are almost always mentioned as a closer on the Other stage. Don't know if that is a British or an eFestival prejudice. I definitely agree that I could see them headlining and wouldn't be disappointed if they were named/confirmed.

I know he mentioned Trump a few times on his last album and THP4 but he said in an interview that he feels political music is played out right now and nobody has anything new to say on it. I could see this not being a particularly political album

Why Aerosmith wouldnt headline is because it seems that Pearl Jam and the Chili Peppers have outside chances of popping up. They easily would headline and move Aerosmith down the line up. I mean Janet Jackson didnt headline and she played at 5pm.
Kendrick is prob not on any mocks for u.s fests because maybe his management is telling anyone here he isnt available until later in the year? So nobody with a festival up until june can even get him cause he turned them down?

This article actually has a screenshot of the IG page - which makes me think it's not?
The only thing that's making me second guess is the Louisville date. It's the Louder than Life festival - but the 18,20 are the dates Metallica are playing. So you'd think they would be the 19th if anything
I've never understood why people take time and effort to do shit like that..
Cause you can, especially with almost all of that having the openings to pull it off. If they took another hour to double check the small details, they have everyone convinced even more.

Those dates didn’t exactly make sense. I don’t see them doing an extensive, world-wide tour like this. This reunion seems to be focused on the U.S. elections and there were barely any U.S. dates on there.

Emily Eavis on the radio again this morning. “I think there will be another headliner announced before christmas” and “The remaining headliners, one is male and the other is female who have both never performed at Glastonbury”. Really looks like a Taylor and Kendrick lock now.
Other notes for non headliners: lots of shows around the fest popped up this morning, and most of it points to these acts likely being there just based on the calendar and gaps in tour dates at this point in time
