Anybody have any suggestions for how to watch the BBC content in the US?
Well theyre still sticking with their iplayer only for the uk thing and saying to look out on their youtube channel. It wouldnt surprise me if they added a few sets just for the week on there. But other than that, there is a way to get it all if you like.
And I they added this if anyone was able to watch normally.

I downloaded that get-iplayer thing on my laptop, but then noticed that I also need to purchase VPN, which I really don't wanna deal with right now. I found a few sets on YouTube already, so I think I'm gonna go with that unless they upload a noteworthy set on their channel. Hoping David Bowie's set is one.
Well alright then haha. They wont put that on there. But ill grab it and send it your way. Gonna grab anything I dont already have, so im looking forward to the stuff not on the schedule.

Thanks! Watching that whole Bowie set would be really nice.

Its more of a BBC issue. Pretty much every act thats on the line up agrees to being filmed with a handful of exceptions over the years. ( Leonard cohen and radiohead in 2011 asked to not be filmed at all for example ) Doesnt matter, i’ll get around it anyway. Full list of all sets which will be avail minus some surprises will get posted tomorrow.
I got the VPN approach to work (VPN Unlimited). I had to play around with VPN encryption mode to keep my ISP from throttling my feed after about 5 mins of viewing. Once I switched to their Wise TCP mode everything smoothed out...although the speed/resolution is somewhat impacted. Anyway, enjoying some of the sets now. Really looking forward to the Bowie and Radiohead sets.
Looks like they might be giving in and throwing the international viewers a bone. The BBC Music youtube channel has some sets ready to premiere on livestream as scheduled on the iplayer page. They just might not archive them on youtube and itll be shown once. guess i might get proven wrong on the bowie not being shown to everyone lol.
I love the Crows' Nest. Here's part of something I posted here last year. "On the Thursday a guy running my favourite little stage, The Crows Nest, saw I was on my own and had a really cool talk with me, showed me the (normally secret) full lineup for the stage, and said he'd give me a beer if I came up that night for the... Al Doyle DJ set! It was an out-of-this-world great night, I showed him the tweet I'd sent a few weeks before, he reached over and hugged me tight, the rest of Hot Chip arrived and danced with us all, the night seemed to last forever... anyway, yeah, Glastonbury!!"
Yeah, The Crows Nest is a fun gem despite walking the damn hill.
All the set are up on the iplayer. If anyone has any “requests” ill sort em out.
David Bowie, Kylie Minogue and Radiohead ('97) please and thank you!
Here is a folder. Some other stuff will eventually pop up in there. Bowie, Bey, Jay, Coldplay and some others havent gone up yet on iplayer but they will. And radiohead is only an hour, guess theyll never show the whole thing.

Watching many great sets on the BBC channel, but if you have access and haven't checked out the Wolf Alice set....you should. Great hard alt rock set. About 15-20 mins in, the lead guitarist slices one or more fingers on his fret hand and just keeps playing through it. Its an afternoon set on the Pyramid, but they absolutely set the stage on fire.
Supre, if you get a chance to download this one (and the Laura Marling set), that would be great. Would love to get copies of these.
BBC and the usual presenters have broadcast live from Worthy Farm anyway, with curated archive footage and one live song each day. Yesterday was Arlo Parks. Look how nice the sky looks.

I have everything. I just havent gotten to uploading more than the initial folder. Patience. Bowie will be the big one tomorrow and then whoever the special guest is on the schedule. Plus there have been highlights shows which have been great.
And yeah, bummed I didnt get to see Arlo Parks open for Hayley Williams on her tour.
Last one. I had this folder with some random highlight clips and some other sets and just added a few more to max out the space. So there ya go, about 150gb of stuff to go through.

Seems that Mccartney is on board for next year. He was on Howard Stern and his response was that his performance was “postponed”. Emily Eavis already said she wanted him back and Stella had tweeted “see ya next year”. So now its a matter of the other 2 getting back on or if theyre going with what they had for 2021 since they had some acts booked already.
It would be good to get Paul back. Its going to be interesting seeing who will be there in 21. I also wonder if they are still going to call it the 50th anniversary.
Supre, any change that I could get you to upload the REM show to one of your folders.

Its there last i checked
3 folders, right? I double checked and didn't see it. Which one is it in?

It’ll def still be the 50th. They go off years the festival happens, not hat it’s been in existence. Otherwise it’d be way over 50 at this point bc of fallow years. I’m also hoping they keep Paul on.
I’m wondering why getting tickets for next year will be like now since everyone who got a ticket this year got to keep theirs for next year.
I thought the first year of the festival was 1970...(50 years ago 2020)? Although, I could certainly see them doing something to keep the 50 in the title for next year.
I think the October 2020 sale will be much closer to an April resale than a typical October sale (i.e. I don't see a ton people going for the refund). April of next year will be the really interesting one. Who knows what the scene will be then. Assuming that the festival does happen, the April 2021 sale could easily be much bigger than this October's 2020 sale.

I guess you're right. For some reason I thought 1970 was a lot longer ago than 50 years... 😂
And yea. Who knows what the landscape will be next year. I wonder if they'll even do an October sale since so many will still have tickets from this year. Would be safer for them to not do an October sale if COVID is still a big concern by then (which I think it will be). I mean, Aussie citizens and PRs aren't expected to be able to leave the country until the end of the year, so who can we really plan anything at this point.

Nvm, I know why, check again. I uploaded it and didnt place it in the proper folder, my bad.
And theyre still going to call it the 50th, plus theyre going to keep things they had in store for 2021, so this could be even more stacked. It also wouldnt be surprising that maybe the Thursday gets some more notable names on it to fit things into the schedule. And there doesnt seem like there will be much of an october sale, more likely just announcements until next year. Who in their right mind is going to give up the deposit at this point ya know, hard enough to get a ticket. The concern overall will be what the UK is going to impose on international travellers. And there is already a ton of new shows being schedule for early 2021 and on which would indicate theyll want to get back to normal sooner than later.
Worst case scenario the festival doesnt happen and it might never again. Michael Eavis has already brought up that if it got pushed again theyll go bankrupt.

That's got it! Thanks again on uploading the shows. R.E.M. was one of the better sets. I was lucky enough to see them in 1989 and they have always been a favorite.
I still think they do the Oct sale but its likely to be a much smaller number of tickets. Fingers crossed for 21, including international visitors. If they can't run it, I hope they do some type of go fund me campaign combined with some Gov help to get through the year. 21 could be a very hard year for a lot of the entertainment business, but I'll keep optimistic and hope that things work out.
