Rosklide promoter today in an interview says they couldn’t get Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar or Billie Eilish.
Glastonbury is the only festival Billie is doing in Europe.
Billie’s tour was never designed to incorporate festivals, but they were fortunate with the gaps they had to make it work out this way which is fine. There was a false alarm with Taylor yesterday but thats why the promoter quelled that fire. Kendrick is just up in the air and we wont know til its announced or not. I dont blame Roskilde from moving on, cant hinge everything on a couple acts knowing you can still book them in the future.

after that experience riding the bus seems like the easy part no matter how nerve wracking tbh.

yeah, I went on the website at midnight and bought some. It took me about 35 minutes to get through and I ended up having to get them on my phone. I think a lot of people were trying to go on the website all at once too which didn't help. However, it seemed like there were a lot of times/tickets available so even if you go now you should still be able to get something decent.

Well the site seems fine now cause its prob almost 3am. Im not departing from London so thats one thing I got going for me. Its just weird the event page isnt updated to reflect booking for the fest yet. Normally they have a big list with cities and departures and you go from there.
Would like to see Stromae make an appearance now that he’s getting announced for more festivals but seems like he’s only sticking with French/Belgian festivals for now. But also excitingly seems like Jamie xx will be around.

Is there any reason why people think it is Kendrick? I thought the consensus was that he isn’t touring Europe next summer.
Do you think they maybe just held a spot for him but plans never materialised?
The consensus is it’s Kendrick because the guy who runs efestivals, who is a very reliable source of information, said Billie/Kendrick/Paul/QOTSA/PSB would all be playing (this was a few days before the Billie announcement).

Heard a while ago that Kendrick's easily changing his mind whatever the hell he wants to plan. I can see why Roskilde moved on and why he perhaps could end up at a festival like Tinderbox later down the drain if he ends up announcing some dates. He's been rumoured to headline Rock Werchter aswell - a festival he was supposed to play in '20. The organisation couldn't get through with him for '21 and booked Gorillaz as a replacement. Now that Gorillaz got put away at Werchter Boutique (together with Stromae), there's a chance he's coming back. You can tell RW/LiveNation is kind of stalling an announcement, just need to get a green light from Kendrick. Hence also probably why he wasn't announced for Garorock despite the local French media coverage that same morning mentioning he'd get announced.

So based on that comment I’m guessing you’ve also seen the speculation that he waits to sign contracts until the last minute. So unless one of us comes into contact with one his lawyers I’m not sure how anyone could answer that question.

There is space and can def make it work. Lolla Sweden would be the only other potential thing to put into there but plenty of acts do Glasto and that in the same weekend.
