Also, the e.festivals mod said they heard Macca was a done deal!

bring it
It kills me that this was the year I originally planned to make Glasto happen, but now there’s no possible way it could, and it’s the year Macca plays. It physically hurts.
Any pointers on getting tickets to this thing? First time trying to go and I’m pretty nervous. Feels like I’m applying for a Visa or something.
A simple easy way: get a group, get everyone's registration numbers on a sheet and cross your fingers. It's said you have better luck if you're on UK severs. Thankfully we have one of our group over there for work and he's free Saturday morning so I'm over the moon about that. Good luck !

Have you already registered?
Yeah I’ve got that taken care of. My significant other and I are registered and will be on all sort of devices for the coach presale. I just don’t know where to place my expectations. I usually have terrible luck with really high-demand tickets.
Also might have better luck with the coach presale.
edit: in my year we all got through the ticket system if it puts you at ease
I would figure the coach would be hard since it's a small amount? I'll be trying regardless but I always assumed that
Nah. I noticed plenty of local accents on our bus ride over, but I think they tend to just go for the general onsale since most have their own transportation. It was still a bit stressful, but everyone’s device got through (and we were spread out over the US). I’d bet on all of you guys landing tickets on the 4th.
I feel like I already asked this, but my friend is going for tickets tonight when they go on sale. Any tips or suggestions for?
edit: just got home and actually read the thread and realised someone asked this exact same question just a few posts up. I posted this really quick from work while we were talking about it and didn't even read the thread. sorry guys. 😂😂

Have multiple computers ready, I guess? I really wouldn't know what else I could say.
Well like for Coachella it’s better to buy a shuttle pass ticket or hotel package (if that’s an option) first to increase your chances. Or like the mobile app is better when buying through Ticketmaster, etc. Didn’t know if there’s something similar with Glasto.

Not sure if it’s been covered but the thing with the coach is you have to take the coach. If you don’t show up and board there’s no way to get your tickets. Because of that demand for the on sale isn’t crazy.

That is really, really good to know. Thanks for that!
If I got through I was going to pick coach from London, because I was planning on being around there before/after. So if would have worked out. Hopefully it's a decent ride!

It's a ride. The high point was zooming past Stonehenge. The traffic line to get inside the festival can be brutal. They also drop you off pretty damn far from camp iirc. So be ready for some kind of a trek. Also be prepared for the hills (and potentially mud). We found some rain boots at a sporting goods store in London because we didn't want to fly with them, but they're essential. Bonnaroo is hot and stuff, but you're dealing with an entirely different ecosystem/terrain out there.
