Is it worth putting any significant thought into where you camp for this, or just figure out what still has room when you get there? Coach out of London isn't till 11am Wednesday so I won't be getting in until mid-late afternoon.
I think our shuttle did not arrive until like 8-9 the year we went (2013). We had big plans to make the trek to higher ground but after lugging our shit for what seemed like ages (prob only 30 mins) we just found a spot and stayed there. Near the John Peel stage which was actually really great (on this map, looks like the Woodsies area). We were very lucky with weather that year so the lower ground was not an issue.
I say if you are dead set on a certain area, just be persistent on getting there. Bring as little as you can and practice lugging that shit around. It is hilly farm land and if there is already mud, it will just be harder.
I can’t get financial compensation for it since the cancellation occurred more than 14 days in advance but since I’m going to have to cut into my work time I’m going to contact them to at least see if I can get an upgrade or lounge access or something.

That's fucked up. I thought if an airlines cancels your flight they have to rebook you on another one?

I was able to rebook at no charge, but there weren’t any leaving at the same time or later on Monday so I had to leave on Tuesday since I’ll have to get a COVID test in London

Why do you need to get a covid test? I don’t believe that’s a requirement for travel to the UK from the US for vaccinated individuals.

It's so annoying that the CDC is still making everyone test negative before flying back to the states. Canada and and almost every European country has removed that requirement for the vaccinated.

annoying but this iteration of covid is terrible for a few days where you transmit it a ton so I'm down to isolate for a a few days and get cleared by an antigen test. Masks on planes makes that different
Heathrow has on site antigen lateral flow tests that you can book in advance and give results back within 40 minutes.
Also, I don't know if anyone has purchased travel insurance yet, but if you have recs that would cover hotel costs in case of the need to quarantine I'm all ears.
One thing for certain, this festival has to have as much (or more) electronic and/or DJ content as any other festival. They must book every small artist in western Europe to fill all of the slots across these stages.

It’s always funny when these stages get announced and I have no idea who any of these people are and then you go on eFestivals where there’s like eight people talking about how excited they are to see DJ Crumpetfucker play a 2 PM set.

Cause theyre local and such. And of course if its an alias and you find out thats aphex twin then you get really excited.
Another area poster leaked. I hope The Park, Acoustic and West Holts are next week. Supposedly full posted its out May 16th and schedule to follow.
If Fred Again.. isn't on the Glade lineup I might have to write a strongly worded letter.
(He's play Electric Forest the same weekend with no dates around it in the states, don't know how big of a barrier that would be.)
I think Fred would be on a main stage. West Holts would be the ideal spot. And yeah, just about planes at this point. Still a decent chunk of main stage acts to go with the main poster. Babymetal flew from Japan the day before to go play Glasto in 2019, its very doable.
