Edit: ok Aphex was going to be on that and now he isnt. Lame. The Chemical Brothers likely are the special guests.
Do you think different stage/area, or completely out?
From the sound of it he was just supposed to be there for Arcadia. He has totally played there as an unannounced/anonymous sort of thing but youll have to be pretty lucky to be wherever that happens if it even did.
Is it worth putting any significant thought into where you camp for this, or just figure out what still has room when you get there? Coach out of London isn't till 11am Wednesday so I won't be getting in until mid-late afternoon.

Coming from overseas, i've only ever done pre-erected camping (doing Tipis this year), so I don't know much about the various campsites, except I do know that there are clear favorites and can be marked differences in personality between the various camping sites. I would suggest doing a little Googling, efests and reddit will be your best bet for discussion on camping areas.

It def does matter. When I went I arrived a little later than the people I was camping with cause I was coming back from Dublin so they got the spot. So they had set up in Oxylers which is by Other Stage. The idea was to try and be centrally located to the majority of the festival. So it ended up being a lot better because the chance of going by your tent throughout the day was higher and if you needed something it wasnt a hike. Lots of people like Pennard Hill too. And anyone that suggests camping by Pyramid is crazy. Only took me like 10 mins to get to The Park and Arcadia is right there. Easy path to the Pyramid and Silver Hayes was right there so theres lots to go see and not have to wander far. You should still be able to find something decent getting in at the hour youll be arriving. There will be maps with stewards by them which show where there is space. You would be screwed if you came on Thurs.
Appreciate both those responses. Did a bit more looking into it, Lower Mead feels like it might be a good spot given the proximity to Silver Hayes, JP Tent, Pyramid, and Other. Hopefully since it's just me it shouldn't be to hard to squeeze in somewhere.
ugh this is making me jealous haha. prob won't try until 2024 at earliest. when's the next fallow year?
Nothing announced yet, but I expect it won't be for ~4-5 years, especially given that there was just an involuntary double fallow. I'm fairly certain there will be a festival in 2024.
