To be fair I hadn't looked at the last draft and this is the only thread I've really ever been a part of. A lot of knowledge of older music comes from being a Trivia host and the crowd always loves some Toto so I thought they were a lot bigger than they are lmao

There's no "right" way to draft. Pick the acts that you want. I'm just saying that nobody was gonna pick them in the near future.

I feel like all the people shitting on Toto are only remembering novelty hits like Rosanna and Africa, and conveniently forgetting that they were the backing band on the best-selling album of all time.
That said, I think they stick to their own material live, so maybe the criticism is warranted.

I don't think many folks are even aware of that.
My cousin knows an oldtime session musician in Nashville that claims Toto's drummer is one of the best in the world.

If someone drafted Tame Impala could someone still get Pond.? They're essentially the same band with different singers and I know we said that we can't really have multiple iterations of the same band. Probably a bad example but the one I'm thinking of would give away a pick I wanted and this is the best comparison

Yes they perform as their own group and released their own material. Someone like the Doors with Morrison is not available though because they kept the name.
