For example, if you were selecting Van Halen then you verified that you were choosing the iteration with Gary Cherone, the David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar VH's would be off the table.
And I see no problem with someone else claiming New Order. Different name, different sound, addition of Gillian Gilbert. It's not like Superstar & The Backing Band vs. Superstar & The Slightly Different Sounding Backing Band.
Or you could pick Peter Hook & The Light playing either of the albums from Joy Division as novelty set instead of some cover band, like someone did last draft.
