Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
If your schedule pits the acts I don't know against the ones I like leaving me without conflicts your fest works well for me
The idea for this festival was to create a modern day version of Woodstock/Monterey Pop mixed with some stuff from Glastonbury, Coachella and ofcourse Bonnaroo.
Opening of the festival will be done by done by the so-called father of San Fran's Summer Of Love in '67 and the man who was a big influence in the scene at that time right there, mister Chet Helms. There are some heavy hippie acts of that on my line up going from Big Brother & The Holding Company, The Mamas & The Papas to Iron Butterfly and Steve Miller.
Anye acts you want to specifically talk about that you think we won't know well?
Yes, as Fred noticed I oddly (maybe) choose for some techno names on my FA list.
Well, those are all part of a line up I put together with the people from Berghain to host one of their infamous Klubnachts at my festival. The premis is that those parties start on Friday and run through the whole weekend untill Monday, sometimes even untile Tuesday's. Berghain is probably the most famous club of Berlin. You don't easily get in aswell. If you don't know much about it, you should all google some stuff from it.
The club also represents for me what this festivals stands for and is a great addition and provides a little bit more diversity in my line up.
Together with some of Berghain's resident DJs (Sammy Dee, Boris and Norman Nodge) I tried to pick some rather unknown and underground acts (like British Murder Boys or Extrawelt) to fill this whole stage in.

Also.. I don't really understand why you would take away those acts that are shared more than once. You can have z cross over with person A but if you share the same act with person B, then that cross over still exists with that second person aswell. So I count that twice? Idk what's wrong with that.
Depends on what the final parameter you wanna estimate is in the end. If you wanna list drafters based on the uniqueness of their lineup, the way you’re doing is not correct. But if you’re just looking at the number of total crossovers with everybody else, then you’re right. I don’t know why you wanna make such a list though.
I disagree. If you and I only share 1 FA with everyone else but your 1 FA is shared with 5 people and mine is shared with 10 then my lineup is less unique.
Through the first rounds there was another stage where I hadn't announced anything for yet and that was my Talks & Art stage. Each day there will be talks and workshops from the artists billed below. At my festival there will be 3 art installations and the artists who made those will do a talk about that on that stage aswell.
Yayoi Kusama's 'The Infinity Mirrors'
Olafur Elliason's 'The Weather Project'
Ryoji Ikeda's 'Micro | Macro'

Statistically, no. Philosophically, yes.

Originally I was thinking of letting some artists do a surprise set like Glastonbury does every year but I thought that wouldn't really do well in here and I wouldn't know to market that so I deleted an extra Clapton set (had m do an acoustic set) but kept Radiohead doing a special set. It's still billed like that on my schedule cause Sigur Ros is closing The Barn on the last day after Radiohead does that novelty set.
For Belgian acts, I picked two of the most important figures in Belgian music history (Jacques Brel and Toots Thielemans) and dEUS, one of the best alternative rock bands from the last 20 years here.
Final line up: If you have any question, shoot! I'll give some infor about some stuff after my dinner
where would you of had Tame on this?
If it all worked out how I wanted it then I would have had Tame Impala sub for Pink Floyd, I think. But that plan kinda changed along the way lol. Originally I was going for mostly psychedelic rock bands, cuz those are pretty rare.. The good ones atleast so yeah.

I love the John Peel pick, what will he be doing? DJing I guess? A set not to be missed.
Tbh I was soo scared you were going do something with the Berlin clubbing scene cuz you kept picking German acts like that lol. John Peel will do a talk.

ha, yeah i'm not familiar enough with German clubs to do a competent stage dedicated to them. My techno picks were either (a) artists i've seen at Movement or Movement afters or (b) artists I've listened to sets from on youtube/soundcloud.
I'll for sure be checking out the artists on your Berghain stage I'm not familiar with.
Oh yeah, for who's wondering what the hell Electronic is.. That's a super group formed by Bernard Sumner (of New Order) and Johnny Marr (of The Smiths). They collaborated with Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe (of Pet Shop Boys) and Karl Bartos (of Kraftwerk).
