Based on what argument should this not be an act exactly? Because I litteraly got no clue what's the problem. Way to go with trying to creative and unique in this draft.

And which rule am I crossing with this pick then exactly? It's litteraly a stage designed by them that has played at different kinds of venues and festival with the same consistent line up of artists djing (The Dewaele bro's and James Murphy).
Despacio is not a "just a soundsystem" though. It's James Murphy and the Dewale brothers DJing on a specific soundsystem. If anyone else played the soundsystem it would not be Despacio. It's also literally played multiple festivals recently.
It was actually billed at Sonar Fest, but in the description they called it an “experience”. And at the bottom of the page it says “Despacio: Powered by Macintosh”.
So it’s like the Kalliope, but only James Murphy & 2manydjs can play it? I have no idea if that qualifies it as an “artist” but I guess it could be an “act”? Idk.... but it tours and if you book it you get them, so I guess that makes it an act.
Ofcourse it's an 'it'. It's their own selfmade installation with them old school djing in the back. It's a physical space which I wanted to draft exclusively for my festival (because they've played at other festivals aswell) and his own name to go under. So far, I've not seen any good argument to tell me this pick wasn't allowed.
edit: also the question isn't if DESPACIO is an artist, it says.. Is it an act or not? If it's not then you might aswell say that theatre, circuses, art installations etc are not allowed to pick.. because.... Because of what argument exactly?

Hold on, a bunch of people who don't know anything about it need to weigh in.

Dude, I voted yes. You really need to calm down and stop taking things so personally... But if you want to start throwing out comparisons of it to "theatre, circuses, art installations" then I'd change my vote to no. You can't draft a fucking art installation... that's a terrible comparison. You're only hurting yourself there.
If that were the case you could draft the giant morphing butterfly installation from Coachella. Or the Infinity Room from Day For Night... which is obviously not the point of the draft....
The difference is those are merely installations created by artists - not an act made up of musicians playing music. You wouldn’t draft that HP video dome for instance because there aren’t any acts tied to it. Despacio is a traveling stage “unlike the Kaliope” in that they only cycle through three specific DJs. The stage is tied to those acts. It’s supposed to be less about the acts at hand though and more about the experience.
I could see how the argument might open up others to want to pick Björk’s VR exhibit (but again, that doesn’t feature musicians playing live music).
Edit: also, why argue about this? Drafts are serious.
