First time going to the 'Roo this year... My wife and I are doing VIP and staying in an RV. We're flying into Nashville and the plan is to meet our friends (who are driving the RV) in the VIP area on Thursday.
Does this sound like a logistical nightmare? Will it be possible to fly into Nashville Thursday morning and take one of those shuttles to arrive early Thursday afternoon? When/where do you purchase tickets for the shuttle? Do they drop you off near the VIP area? What about these wristbands? What's the deal with them and where/when do we get them?
I can't say for sure, b/c I haven't taken the shuttle. But from reading other people's experiences in the past, it sounds like when you fly into Nashville and take the shuttle, they do all the wrist-banding/ticket checking on the shuttle. Then they drive your bus straight into the site to the area between VIP and Tent Only and drop you off. Makes sesne, there is no reason to shuttle people who don't have tickets, and most shuttlers will be VIP or Tent only.

Official Bonnaroo Express Airport Shuttle No need to worry about getting from Nashville Airport to Bonnaroo. The Bonnaroo Shuttle will take you into Bonnaroo, already wrist-banded, and drop you at a prime camping location close to the main stage and Centeroo. It will pick you up at the same location where you were dropped starting early morning on Monday, June 16.
The shuttle will operate on Thursday, June 12 and Friday, June 13 with frequent departures throughout the day. All returns will be on Monday, June 16 beginning early in the morning.
Please remember that Bonnaroo music festival tickets must be purchased prior to purchasing any Bonnaroo Express travel or hotel packages because NO TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH ANY TRAVEL PACKAGES.
