The draft rules say the configuration must have played two live shows together, and TV appearances do not count. Dave has only performed with them for a show once. It's a cut and dry no.
He's also recorded two full studio albums and has been announced as their drummer by KG himself
That's not the rules though.
The rule is in place to stop supergroups like billy joel and Elton John from being picked because they have zero connection other than one performance together. Dave Grohl is a consistent and recognized member of the D
I mean, it's pretty dicey to draft an act that had played live like 400 times and to assume that you're selection also includes someone who has only played live with them once during that time.
It seems pretty obvious that you are just trying to use this as an end around to get him in a superjam after you failed to select the Foos or Nirvana.

Oh, is that the intent of the rule?
That's what it was when we decided it at least from what I gathered

If that was the case I could draft other groups that he's less involved in but has played more live shows with

It's a rule, you can't expect the rest of us to follow it and let you get away with breaking it

Then you should probably do that.
FWIW, if you said you were going to see Tenacious D and complained that Dave Grohl wasn't there, people would think you were insane. The same can't be said about Black or Gass. Because they're a duo.

I'm literally following the rules by doing the poll. The rule says if there's a dispute than it is handled by a poll. I'm fine with not doing the poll if it's that big of a deal
No, the poll is the way to go. Part of that is people debating the merits of the poll issueissue in question, which is what we're doing here. #Democracy
