I’ll be there again. Will be curious if they book another huge pop star like Bruno Mars. Seems like it would be a smart business move considering how huge his crowd was.
I’m just joking because I used to say the same thing every year, then March rolls around and you start telling yourself “well the undercard isn’t great, but the headliners are decent and if it’s scheduled juuuust right.....”

Understandable. I did the same thing with Bonnaroo this year. Said I wasn't going to go when the lineup came up but came close to talking myself into it just because I could string together a decent run of shows over the four days.
While it's awesome they have plenty of bars and bathrooms and I never had to wait long for either (especially because of the urinals, thank god for those), I think they need some more water stations. Saturday and Sunday were scorchers, and the wait times for some of the stations seemed pretty long. I saw a lot of people pass out this weekend, and I wasn't even really around Perry's/acts that young high schoolers would attend.
I’ve seen people vomit at every festival. Lolla just gets all the attention because it’s one of the big 3 and mid west kids usually can’t afford Coachella and don’t want to camp at Bonnaroo.

With Tool's European tour during the summer, IF and it's a big if, but IF that new album is ready I could see them maybe headlining Lolla. I know they're not the act this fest typically books anymore but I could still see it. Pair them up with a few other rock acts on that main stage that day and the crowds will be dispersed accordingly. It could easily work.

If I was doing booking for Lolla and saw just how huge the Bruno Mars crowd was and the difficulty they had selling out on Jack White's day, I think Tool is probably the last band I'd want to book. That being said, I'd be very much with it if they did! They seem overdue to headline Riot Fest, I think that's a much better fit
They've been rumored for Riot Fest so many times and that fest is a shitshow in their own right. I don't see it happening. Then there's supposedly the whole Maynard/wine season/won't play shows in September thing too. I also think Tool is a significantly bigger draw than Jack White. Jack White isn't instantly selling out every arena he plays in. They're def a niche act but they have ties to Lolla having played it when they released the last album. I'd personally rather see them at their own show but with how hard tickets can be I'd gladly take them at Lolla with a new show/album.

I think The Cure and especially Tool are in their own league as far as attracting fans and drumming up single day sales. I doubt they do it, but having one of them headline Thursday opposite SHM or some shit would make decent sense. The reason no one went to Jack Whites set is no one gives a shit about Jack White.
