Finally get to see Robyn and Pusha T (and for a pretty great deal). Also I think I'm obligated to see Freddie Gibbs every chance I get so I'm excited to hear some new songs live. A lot of research to be done, but see you all in line to buy tickets to buy dranks
Absolutely. Stereolab is enough to get me there, so as long as they don’t play at the same time as Pusha I’ll be very happy. Tirzah and Cate Le Bon will be great opening acts for that day too.
Also I wonder if this is Kurt Vile acoustic? Last time he played nearby he was billed with The Violators
I saw on Twitter he said that the Violators would be at Pitchfork this year.
Nice! I have yet to catch him post Wakin on a Pretty Daze
Same. I really, really wanna see Robyn, but unless they manage to majorly fuck up the scheduling Saturday is kinda a perfect festival day for my tastes

Also, prolly 75% in for Sunday Is Charli XCX good? Where should I start with her? I dont really like Boom Clap or Boys, 1999 is ok, I Love It slaps, idk anything beyond that

Charli mostly plays newer material live, but since it's a festival set she's probably going to some of the features too, like "I Love It" and "Fancy". As far as the 'mixtapes' or whatever go, I like Number 1 Angel but more people like Pop 2. Pop 2 has more features, but Number 1 Angel has the more aggressively PC Music style production. If you want to listen to the older albums, True Romance is pretty straightforward (but very, very well done!) electropop and Sucker is more 'rock', at least in attitude. My favorite out of all of them is Sucker, but I think that's a pretty niche opinion.
anyway, if you're just looking for bangers, try "Break the Rules", "What I Like", or "Vroom Vroom", all of which are wildly different and will probably have something you like.

Ooh, Break the Rules is very fun! Thanks for taking the time to write that up.
Possibly dumb question: What does PC mean in that context? I'm assuming you didn't mean that Number 1 Angel has a more aggressively politically correct style of production lol

PC Music is a record label. It's basically extremely exaggerated and distorted pop. SOPHIE is the best example of the genre coming out of PC Music although she's not actually part of the label. AG Cook and Danny L Harle and SOPHIE have produced a lot of Charli's more recent music.

I'm going to be in chicago that weekend for work and would love to go to a aftershow for this...When/how do we find out these? Also, it'll be my first time in Chicago so any recommendations would be amazing! (I'm staying in the loop and I wanna see a good blues show and do a brewery tour)

Last year they were all officially announced by the end of June but it’s a lot less formal than the Lolla aftershow announcement so there’ll be a few that trickle out between now and then.
idk if it was already made official or not but just got an email saying that Belle and Sebastian will Ben performing If You’re Feeling Sinister during their set.

It was on the leaked initial lineup so we had a pretty good idea that'd be the case.
I'm only going Sunday, and getting some major fomo since Sinister is one of my all-time favorite albums

Really stings not getting The Rapture only to have them play a week after :/
Excited for If You’re Feeling Sinister though! I’ve seen Belle and Sebastian four or five times and have yet to hear Me and the Major or Judy and the Dream of Horses.

If you want to see a good blues show go to Kingston Mines.
Hype is going through the roof right now. I’m praying that they do an after show too but just give me Infinity Girl on a nice sunny day and I can die happy
Two aftershows announced today at Thalia Hall: Stereolab on Friday, Snail Mail on Saturday. If you bought a 3-day pass, you'll have access to a presale on June 10th at 10AM.
