Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Uzi is billed 2nd at Rolling Loud NYC on the same day that he's booked for W2, wonder if they'll move him around or get someone to replace him.
Hopefully with Anderson .Paak
This would be the best upgrade of all going from someone i have no interest in seeing to someone i has really high hopes would be on the lineup originally.
First time in Austin and first time ACL attendee. Can anyone suggest some restaurants or bbq wven on a higher scale. Gonna be eating festival food throughout just want some ideas for the day before and the day after we fly in and out
Best BBQ in the region is in Lockhart which is the best BBQ in Hill Country (Kreuz, Black's, Smitty's). Forget Franklin's unless you want to wait in a line overnight/forever (you can reserve in advance if you spend enough, but that's like a couple bills and 2 weeks ahead). Micklethwait's is good, but you might have to wait a while, and they will run out daily.
Recommendation is to skip the higher end stuff and find the eclectic stuff. You could always go to Uchi which some of our people over that way swear by, but you don't have to since it's your first time visiting. And I've got another friend who eats at Odd Duck every time he's over there. Check out some of the "trailer parks" and solo food trucks. They're everywhere and have some crazy choices, many excellent though many might seem freaky at first glance. Research downloading a temporary app because there will be stuff you'll miss if you blink.
Best pizza I ever had there was Detroit style at the outdoor Via 313 on Rainey Street. They have some other locations around town, but I haven't tried any of those yet. Best burger I've had there was Casino El Camino.
You might also want to give a look at some of the local casual Austin places that have been around forever.
Polvo's - Cerveza Fajitas are the best I've ever had, salsa bar is killer and margaritas are great (interior Mexican). They have a bomb salsa bar. I only know the South Congress location, but they have a couple more now.
Getting BBQ in Lockhart is fun but you can find better brisket at a number of places in Austin.
Brisket might be one thing on a menu of possibly 8-10 bbq items. I've had the best in Austin, and it's comparable to any good day at a random Lockhart place. Best BBQ in Texas that I've had has been smoked prime rib at Kreuz . If you think there is better in Austin, I'll be back in a couple of months to try it.
has anyone else been to Interstellar? It looks good from the pics, and they have lamb which sounds amazing.
Its my new favorite BBQ place. On Saturday, they have their Beef Rib, so go that day. The brisket and the smoked scalloped potatoes were out of this world.

I think if you get BBQ in Austin/Lockhart, you need to go somewhere with a Beef Rib......
My best spots are : La, Micklewait, Black's(both spots), and Interstellar(on Saturday)

I was really hoping he would get swapped with someone better but for fans of him thats good and happy for them. Some late adds would be cool but I’m still very happy with this lineup.
The timing didnt work out but if this lineup had Diiv, Nick Cave, Wu Tang and Tenacious D, it’d be by far the best of the year. All are playing in Austin within the ACL radius.
That's what makes sense to me. Pros and cons to Stubb's? The only aftershow I went to in 2016 was Frightened Rabbit and Julien Baker at Scoot Inn. I'll definitely be at this one.

Possibley Moody theater??? I’d prefer that bc it’s more intimate than Stubbs.
Yeah it's gotta be between those two, idk if they'd be able to get a bigger name for Moody though.
Like he’s too big for it? Vampire weekend just sold out two shows in September there so they definitely have some bigger names.
On that note, went to a live taping at moody tonight with Lucy Dacus. Look for my pretty mug on the front row. 😂😂
-I think he's not big enough? Idk I feel like the one's that play Moody are just a little bigger. I could see Kacey playing Moody over him, but I'd rather see him in Moody than Stubbs.
What time do aftershows generally start? If I stayed through all of Tame, would I make it in time for James Blake?
you would probably make Blake's stage time, but you'd most likely miss all of any opener and you'd probably get a spot in the back (which doesn't really bother me)

-That's great, I tried to win tickets, no luck!
That makes me so sad, bc it was not full at all!! I was saying they should’ve emailed the people who had paramount tickets.

That makes me sad! I wish they would just adjust the number of tickets they give out, or just start selling leftovers. I just can't ever bring myself to drive up to do stand by

The standby line is almost always worth it. Especially for acts this size. I walked right into Mitski 5 minutes before the scheduled start.

Please keep sending the after-show wisdom folks, as this is my first year.
If Tame isn't playing an after show (unlikely?) Then I'm definitely trying to do Blake -> Tame -> Blake. But a second Tame show will definitely take precedent. If we could get Thom as well that would be great.
