I’ve never been so looking forward to it. What’s BBQ and Brews meetup
There’s not an actual place called BBQ & Meetup. I just called this meetup that we’re doing for ACL. It could be anyplace or whereever. Just want to meet up and party with y’all.

Low 3-day ticket alert for weekend 2.
Upon sharing this news with my group (wasn't sure how many had actually bought their passes yet), I learned that 3 out of 4 of them have not and are freaking out about how they can't afford it this week. This is entirely on them, of course, having had 4 months to sort their shit out and a layaway plan available, but needless to say I'm annoyed.

My wife and I are in that same boat and I don’t get paid till next week. VISA card with 10k limit to the rescue. Tickets are bought! Now pay off AirBnb next week and we are golden!
So how is the weather usually for this on the 2nd weekend as far as heat? And are both main stages usually packed out at night?
Last year Friday was so incredibly hot. I don't think it's usually like that but during Byrne it was miserable.
thank you good to know just trying to prep. Does it get cool at night? Like life is beautiful needed a hoody some nights where most test never have needed one?

Nah. I wouldn't usually expect it to get that cool at night. Not like in the desert.

I was in Austin during weekend 2 in 2016 (but not at the fest) and it was also unbearably hot during the day. I'm planning on it being unbearably hot, and if it's not I'll consider it a win.

I don't remember it being that crazy on that Friday, the only day I went that year, but I'm also from Texas, so I might have a fucked up perception of what is bearable.

what year did you need a hoodie for LIB? last year it was still close to, or at 100 even after the sun went down.

A free lodging opportunity came up and now I'm debating doing W2 of this instead of Desert Daze. Can someone give me a real quick idea of the size of the venue, and how hard it is to move around the different stages? I've been to Lollapalooza where the schedule seemed nice in theory but it took like 25 mins to walk from one main stage to another.

big oval, really not taht bad. the barton springs stage is a little further, but shaky seemed like it was further between stages and it was a smaller park.
Grant Park is about double the size of Zilker. It'll probably take about 10 minutes to get from Honda to American Express (on opposite ends of the park) when it gets crowded.
