Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Gojira and Meshuggah are two of the best European metal bands of all time. Also Tom Morello (RATM), Pussy Riot (as a novelty act), Basement, Zeal and Ardor and Teenage Wrist. I guess the Hives and the Distillers are pretty cool too if you're into punk. There's also a ton of terrible metalcore in the mix, too.
What albums do you recommend to start with for Gojira and Meshuggah?
ObZen is probably the best Meshuggah album (check out Bleed, Lethargica, Combustion specifically), but Koloss, Nothing and Chaosphere are all great albums as well. They're extremely heavy, extremely groovy, and ultra technical hardcore. Bill Burr did a great bit about how his mind was blown by the drummer when he saw them live. Gojira is not as good as Meshuggah imo, but their drummer is also incredible. L'enfant Sauvage is probably Gojira's best album. Lots of good stuff to dig through with both bands. Also Refused and Meshuggah are from the same college town in Northern Sweden which is pretty cool.
03/14 - Thievery Corporation 04/25 - Black Country, New Road 05/04 - In Flames, Gatecreeper 05/10 - Modern Life is War 05/21 - Spite, Bodysnatcher, Thrown 05/29 - Knocked Loose, Loathe, Show me the Body, Speed 06/02 - Bush 06/22 - George Thorogood 06/23 - Dillinger Escape Plan, Deadguy, Candy, Carbomb

big fan of it, but feels like a hot take. Destroy Erase Improve/Chaosphere probably my favorites, Soul Burn probably my fave song. Nothing also really good.

The distribution of good acts is pretty much perfect every day throughout the weekend. If only Disturbed was replaced by Tool this spread would look even better than Epicenter (which I did make a clashfinder for, but no one seems to care about that fest on inforoo). If I had chosen this fest over Epicenter here's who I'd see by day, schedule pending:
Friday: SOAD > Ghost > Meshuggah > Tom Morello > Parkway Drive > Black Label Society > Pussy Riot > Zeal & Ardor > Wage War > HO99O9 > Pretty Vicious > Demob Happy
Saturday: The Prodigy > Lamb of God > The Cult > Gojira > Action Bronson > Killswitch Engage > Mark Lanegan Band > The Black Dahlia Murder > Movements
Sunday: Foo Fighters > Joan Jett > Chevelle > The Hives > The Distillers > The Struts > Refused > The Glorious Sons > Black Pistol Fire > Basement > Scarlxrd > Teenage Wrist
03/14 - Thievery Corporation 04/25 - Black Country, New Road 05/04 - In Flames, Gatecreeper 05/10 - Modern Life is War 05/21 - Spite, Bodysnatcher, Thrown 05/29 - Knocked Loose, Loathe, Show me the Body, Speed 06/02 - Bush 06/22 - George Thorogood 06/23 - Dillinger Escape Plan, Deadguy, Candy, Carbomb
So I made a clashfinder using the exact same schedule and sequencing as last year's (Rock on the Range) poster to schedule correlation. It was a little painstaking, but I'd be willing to bet this is super accurate.

Bring Me The Horizon just canceled the rest of their dates this year. Wonder who they’ll replace them with. A Day To Remember, Evanscence, Run The Jewels, or Marylin Manson

Where did you see that info on the Louder than Life? One of my friends is considering buying a one day for SOAD at this, but she was wondering where I found this info.

Pro Tip: You can buy a Louder than life ticket ($125 plus fees) and get a free 3 day stadium pass for Sonic Temple. I believe this promotion lasts until midnight.

Pretty shocked that people are actively into seeing System of a Down, but at least we can all agree that Disturbed is trash and on the bright side, the band's name is also an apt way of describing peoples' mood when listening to said band. Also, every single DWP event is doing a ridiculous discount currently, as far as I know (besides Rockville).. which does not bode well for rock fests in general, sadly.

I took advantage of the LTL presale and will be going to Sonic Festival too! It was about $150 (after fees) for LTL w/ Sonic tix. $75 a fest! I'm still surprised at how cheap that is.
I'm a big System fan but I agree with disturbed. But they needed one discount headliner after booking foo and system.

SOAD may be nostalgic for me (Toxicity was the first album I bought with my own money), but I can honestly say I still enjoy their music quite a bit. And I like Serj as a person.
I also liked Disturbed in the day, and can agree that they have not aged well. Making them a headliner is a headscratcher.
But $75 bucks for two fests? And LTL may include Tool? That's a no brainer for me living exactly between both.

Yeah.. seriously. There's no way they still play these DWP fests now I assume.. right? I'm sorry if that sounds callous, but I've wanted to see these guys for the last 24 years and now I feel like that moment is lost forever, like tears in the rain.

They arguably could still play and revamp the show structure, since The Prodigy is more than just Keith Flint despite him being their big figurehead ever since Firestarter came out. But we'll see.

I have a feeling these US shows will be cancelled but Liam and Max might keep some of the Euro dates and do DJ sets as a tribute.

The Prodigy was set to headline some massive fests in Europe this summer, so I can't imagine them getting away with simple DJ sets. In theory they could still play with just Maxim as the hypeman.
