Pretty decent. I always hope for good Louder than Life overlap but with them being very different times of year doesn't usually happen. Wonder if they will return to offering single day tickets, but doubt it unless it fails to sell much.

Phyre Fest Good news, bad news. now you can go see The Prodigy. But you have to go to Columbus.
Well damn, I'll obviously wait to see where else The Prodigy hits in the US, but I wouldnt count this out just yet. I liked Columbus when I was there for Radiohead earlier this year.

I had fun in Columbus this past May and loved seeing Tool at ROTR, but was not impressed at all by the MAPFRE Stadium setup. I'd consider other options if your favorite acts end up playing elsewhere.

What were your issues with it? It’s certainly not an ideal setup (especially with the weather in Columbus in May) but I had a great time seeing Metallica on the field in 2017.

I won free stadium tickets and ended up attending only on the last day. Which meant that in order to get a good stadium seat for the headliner, that you had to reserve your spot 5-6 hours in advance. Which was worth it in the end, also because the audience around me was equally dedicated, but it goes against the entire festival concept. It felt more like a massive general admission stadium concert, with a bunch of crappy openers.

I’m officially in for this. System alone is enough to justify a ticket for me, they’ve been near the top of my list for years. Add in some other cool stuff like Foos, Refused, The Prodigy, and Action Bronson and I can make a fun weekend out of this.
Anybody on the bottom half of the lineup I should be checking out? Not familiar with a ton of names.

In terms of rock (not metal) stuff, Glorius Sons are pretty decent and Black Pistol Fire is an awesome show.

Scars On Broadway(Daron Malankians group), Wage War, and Mark Lanagen Band are all solid. Pretty pumped to return to Columbus, last was there the Metallica year.

Gojira and Meshuggah are two of the best European metal bands of all time. Also Tom Morello (RATM), Pussy Riot (as a novelty act), Basement, Zeal and Ardor and Teenage Wrist. I guess the Hives and the Distillers are pretty cool too if you're into punk. There's also a ton of terrible metalcore in the mix, too.
03/14 - Thievery Corporation 04/25 - Black Country, New Road 05/04 - In Flames, Gatecreeper 05/10 - Modern Life is War 05/21 - Spite, Bodysnatcher, Thrown 05/29 - Knocked Loose, Loathe, Show me the Body, Speed 06/02 - Bush 06/22 - George Thorogood 06/23 - Dillinger Escape Plan, Deadguy, Candy, Carbomb

What albums do you recommend to start with for Gojira and Meshuggah?

Best news here is that The Prodigy should be doing a USA tour in the late spring.
I hope so, but last time they came to the US to do Riot Fest they didn't book any other shows. Really hope they show up on some other festival lineups or do a theater tour.

But that was three shows at least. (Denver was sick!)
Doubt they come here for a one off but maybe they do. I hope not.
Realllllly hoping that the NOLA Fillmore books them, they'd be perfect there. Don't see them filling arenas on the Gulf Coast unfortunately.
