Clearly not as good as Sonic Temple. Tool, High on Fire, and Judas Priest are admittedly pretty awesome gets though. Rob Zombie gets honorable mention also. I'm sure that new Carolina Rebellion incarnation will have some amalgamation of these two fests with maybe a couple bonus unique artists. Danny Wimmer productions are pretty cut and paste. I love the concept of an all rock/hardcore/metal fest but I feel like it's just one step away from being a juggalo fest
03/14 - Thievery Corporation 04/25 - Black Country, New Road 05/04 - In Flames, Gatecreeper 05/10 - Modern Life is War 05/21 - Spite, Bodysnatcher, Thrown 05/29 - Knocked Loose, Loathe, Show me the Body, Speed 06/02 - Bush 06/22 - George Thorogood 06/23 - Dillinger Escape Plan, Deadguy, Candy, Carbomb
I know I was just hating, but I may actually attend if that other Danny Wimmer Presents fest in NC doesn't have Tool. The spacing of bands between days actually seems optimal, there's about 5-7 bands a day I'd want to see, and a buddy of mine is a die-hard Tool fan, and I've always wanted to see them myself, and for $129+ that alone makes the fest worth it. What I'd see by day
Friday - The Prodigy, Tom Morello, Mark Lanegan Band, Circa Survive, Black Pistol Fire, Chevelle Saturday - Rob Zombie, High on Fire, Judas Priest, The Cult, Zeal & Ardor, Movements, Wage War Sunday - Tool, Meshuggah, The Struts, The Glorious Sons, Reignwolf
Definitely worth it, although it's an 800 mile trek for me. Has anyone attended this fest before? How's the location, logistics, vibe, etc?

Tight, that’s about half the distance for me. I was gonna wait till epicenter dropped it’s lineup before pulling the trigger on Rockville anyway. My problem with the last couple years of these Danny Wimmer fests is there’s always one day that’s way too loaded with good acts and then the other two days it seems like I’d be struggling to find music I’d be into. Which is why I noted that Rockville is pretty well spread out over the weekend with legit bands.

Priest need to fire their manager. Evanescence level billing. Yokes.
I have no idea what Bring Me the Horizon is, so that seems worse.
This band is actually super popular, they’re a teen scenester type band. They’re like a shitty combination of Pop, EDM, and breakdowns. It’s unlistenable.

FWIW, Epicenter is at a brand new location, so there's no guarantee that things will work out for the best logistically, while Rockville at least has an established pedigree.

Just attended the Sunday of the 2019 fest. It was awesome because Tool is incredible!!! So the main stage is held in the parking lot outside the Jacksonville Jaguars stadium. The other two stages are in a park across the stadium. Definitely feels like a city fest, parking was easy to find so that was good. Alot of great acts where the top 5 acts of the day dont overlap and there is very little conflict with the undercards. Alot of places to get beer/water. Food trucks were tasty but expensive. There is crowd surfing, you can find a mosh pit. Very little attractions so its basically all music. So I would say go if you are into the lineup. But if you are looking for a more "festival experience", it is lacking in that.
