We're being fucking had. Either we've got a super timid Mafia who are afraid to make switches that draw attention to themselves, or they're waltzing to a victory.

Its true. I don't talk a lot and when I do its usually pretty blunt which can probably be off-putting but don't let the RBF fool you - I'm town and I'm excited about a W this game. Shit bird is the best at calling me out on my issues with silence, bless his little shit eating heart, so this game I'm doing my part to stay involved. Honestly, there wasn't much value in pushing me into the runoff beyond satisfying LDs itch, which he can address with his actual vote on day 3 assuming I'm still there to be voted in and/or he's still there to vote.
You are more involved this game and honestly, it gives me a better read on you and I have you leaning Town. I thought LD trying to get you in the runoff was a bit odd especially since we didn’t get a whole lot of info Day 1 and it feels like we are throwing darts at a board right now.
My offer to Maddog wasn't so much being suspicious of Tainted as it was an attempt to get a more solid opinion of Maddog himself.
At the end of page six, Kanye was floating the idea that Pablo was suspicious and could be working with either Carini or Maddog. So I was testing whether or not I could work with Maddog.
Cause mobile, I don't feel like going back trying to quote everything at the moment. But if Thor or Kanye are inspector, I would say it's more likely than not Pablo is Mafia. Maddog voting largely in unison with Pablo is troubling - he might be Mafia, he might be someone they're just using. The offer was to see if he would break voting from Pablo, he chose not to. Which is why I came out the gate voting for him.
Kanye's vote for JTR over Maddog confuses me, since at one point he did mention he thought it was either Carini or Maddog working with Pablo.
If Pablo is town, then it's possible Carini and Maddog are both Mafia. Question is, who is the third?
Maybe Maddog and JTR are both Mafia, and the third member is just stuck trying to pick who is best going to help them in future days.

Yeah! ..Except you didn't change your vote, you just talked about. The whole drawing attention thing is such a cop out.
I think that saying I might be mafia because I didn't take your offer to throw someone in the runoff, after I had mentioned I was suspicious of you, is a little bit of a stretch.
I'll wait til after the whack to expand on anything.

Yeah! ..Except you didn't change your vote, you just talked about. The whole drawing attention thing is such a cop out.
I agree that the "timid Mafia" idea is the less likely of the two, by a good degree. Hence me saying "We're being fucking had". And you're right, I didn't change my vote. While I noted my suspicions, LD feels more townie to me than not at this point, and if he's Mafia, no one's exactly latching onto his theories. I'd rather vote out someone I have no read on and isn't adding much than someone who's feeling townie to me and is contributing. That being said, LD I'd still like a response.

I intend to respond tonight, I hopefully have some time after work to get to it
Here's another thing that bothered me about the runoff vote.
After I voted it was Maddog 3-3 JTR, with Pablo, Maddog, and Kanye outstanding. Maddog is certainly not voting for himself, so it's Maddog 3-4 JTR in reality.
If I was Kanye, I'd certainly wait until after Pablo voted to cast my own vote - to get more information out of the deal. What's worse, since Kanye votes JTR - it becomes a 5-3 stack and Pablo's vote is basically worthless. If Pablo and Maddog are Mafia together, Pablo can vote Maddog and later claim separation when in reality there's no danger of Maddog losing.
I honestly don't like the runoff as it stands. Regardless of me being in it. I come to the conclusion I will probably wind up in it, so whatever. It seems like Mafia has basically sat back and tried to control the game. At the risk of my own safety, I'm trying to throw a wrench in it.
There's three people who have had zero votes at this juncture. Pablo, Jaz, and Tainted. Pablo was the first one to float theories out there, Kanye called bullshit on him, I said I mostly agreed with him, and then Pablo voted for me. Tainted even quoted Kanye and was looking for anyone to answer him, and I'm the only one who did. Maybe Kanye's on to something, it's worth exploring.
I think there's probably a Mafia between those three. At least one of the three. Regardless, we need to start getting Mafia nervous. One of those three needs to be in the runoff, and I'm willing to make it happen.
If I'm reading you correctly, you're saying here that you want people who have not been in danger to see some danger, because the Mafia most likely haven't been made nervous. But there's an inconsistency there. At this point there was an unexamined player who had only one vote on them - Kanye - and you could have easily put him forth to go into the runoff. But instead you try to bargain to get one of the three other unexamined players into the runoff, and resort voting along with Kanye by putting your vote on Carini, someone who already went forth in the runoff in Day 1.
If, as you say, you really wanted to examine some people who hadn't been looked at yet, why not vote for Kanye? Why choose instead to send forward someone who had already been pushed forward in the previous Day?
It's also worth pointing out that Carini asked you why you voted for him, and for all you've said in this post about wanting to make Mafia nervous, you completely evaded Carini's question. So I'll ask again - why Carini over Kanye?
Wanting to confirm, this is what you want me to respond to - yes?

Very on brand for LD; create some ridiculous offer and when a player doesn’t take it, it must mean they’re suspicious. Honestly, this was the type of shit kdogg would pull and it’s kind of stupid logic.

We seem to have created a culture where just about everyone plays scared as to not draw attention to themselves.
I'm not so sure we are in terrible shape. Thor pointed at Maddog and also his statement of not coddling new players could apply to JTR

I guess I can't say one way or the other, but I feel like had I changed my vote over prior to the end of the round the general perception would have remained that I am in fact town. To me, that spells the promotion of the culture you (Carini most recently) speak of as opposed to it actually being a staple of this game. I hate to think that people are afraid to speak from drawing negative attention but I hate even more that those more studied in buffoonery or logic can use that as a justification for a calculated lack of action. I am in no way implying that anyone has intentionally done this, more that the regular players of this game need to take some initiative if they don't want to see this become a staple. Speak up everybody, thats the only way town wins.

Back in my poker playing days, I remember some comment - in order to live, you must be willing to die. I might be paraphrasing, but the point stands - you're not gonna win if you don't risk something. People just want to keep quiet to not draw attention to themselves in order to live until day 3-4-5. Dying early sucks, especially if it happens a bunch of games in a row. But that just makes it easier for Mafia to skate on by and control the narrative.
To quote another thing: and when I die, make sure you spread my blood on a BMW

Speaking of which...What happened to Dexter?
Why the BMW hate? surely there are other cars that are just as deserving?

I was down on the Cape last weekend. Usually when I write up Dexter stories, I like to do it on desktop rather than mobile. If I survive the night, I would like to do another chapter.
I'm also not expecting to survive the night. I think I'm a little too close for comfort on at least one Mafia. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

Why Carini over Kanye? I think Kanye is town. At the moment I'm leaning toward the Thor whack was meant to frame Carini. I won't rule out Carini as Mafia, but don't think it's as likely.
My top suspects right now are Pablo and Maddog. I'm not sure if both are Mafia, but one of the two likely is.
