I didn't really see the value in making a deal with someone who I found somewhat suspicious.
I also don't see how that's me protecting anyone, you could have voted for tainted, you didn't. You not only waited until the very last moment to vote, but then you didn't vote for him, putting the onus on everyone else to change their votes. Who are YOU protecting?
I know I'm not mafia, I feel pretty solid that at least one of Carini, LD, and JTR are.
Offer is still on the table Maddog. If you move to Taint, I'll follow.
Why taint?
It's not that I think Taint is necessarily Mafia. My concern is that he's done nothing, or gotten any attention.
We need to find three Mafia. I don't want to leave a stone unturned. My problem with past games is I play lazy and don't give enough attention to the game. Maybe I'm over compensating here, but I want to win.

So why not choose someone you think as Mafia? Your offer to Maddog did seem to come out of no where.

At the end of the day, I could have just voted for Pablo and nobody would have thought much of it. I still find him suspicious, but Pablo (if he's indeed Mafia) is only one of three. Nobody else seemed inclined to go there, so I went in a different direction. There's still two more we need to find.

1. Tainted has a long history of being a quiet player, regardless of role.
2. Quiet and distant is not necessarily an indicator of being Mafia. Usually one or two will be active in the game thread trying to steer the town to do it's desires. A third will try and distance themselves from the other two, to increase their chances of winning. That's if all three aren't trying to distance themselves from each other.

Its true. I don't talk a lot and when I do its usually pretty blunt which can probably be off-putting but don't let the RBF fool you - I'm town and I'm excited about a W this game. Shit bird is the best at calling me out on my issues with silence, bless his little shit eating heart, so this game I'm doing my part to stay involved. Honestly, there wasn't much value in pushing me into the runoff beyond satisfying LDs itch, which he can address with his actual vote on day 3 assuming I'm still there to be voted in and/or he's still there to vote.
I honestly don't like the runoff as it stands. Regardless of me being in it. I come to the conclusion I will probably wind up in it, so whatever. It seems like Mafia has basically sat back and tried to control the game. At the risk of my own safety, I'm trying to throw a wrench in it.
There's three people who have had zero votes at this juncture. Pablo, Jaz, and Tainted. Pablo was the first one to float theories out there, Kanye called bullshit on him, I said I mostly agreed with him, and then Pablo voted for me. Tainted even quoted Kanye and was looking for anyone to answer him, and I'm the only one who did. Maybe Kanye's on to something, it's worth exploring.
I think there's probably a Mafia between those three. At least one of the three. Regardless, we need to start getting Mafia nervous. One of those three needs to be in the runoff, and I'm willing to make it happen.
If I'm reading you correctly, you're saying here that you want people who have not been in danger to see some danger, because the Mafia most likely haven't been made nervous. But there's an inconsistency there. At this point there was an unexamined player who had only one vote on them - Kanye - and you could have easily put him forth to go into the runoff. But instead you try to bargain to get one of the three other unexamined players into the runoff, and resort voting along with Kanye by putting your vote on Carini, someone who already went forth in the runoff in Day 1.
If, as you say, you really wanted to examine some people who hadn't been looked at yet, why not vote for Kanye? Why choose instead to send forward someone who had already been pushed forward in the previous Day?
It's also worth pointing out that Carini asked you why you voted for him, and for all you've said in this post about wanting to make Mafia nervous, you completely evaded Carini's question. So I'll ask again - why Carini over Kanye?

You are more involved this game and honestly, it gives me a better read on you and I have you leaning Town. I thought LD trying to get you in the runoff was a bit odd especially since we didn’t get a whole lot of info Day 1 and it feels like we are throwing darts at a board right now.
Of the people in the runoff, Carini isn't really sticking out to me as suspicious and my vote would only bring him up to 2 anyway, so I'm not inclined to vote for him. Maddog already has a vote, so it's between JTR and LD for me. I have my suspicions of LD, though JTR hasn't really contributed much (yes, the hypocrisy is noted - I haven't said much either). Could easily be first-game shyness/learning the ropes, but that could be a ruse as well. I'm going to put my vote on him at least until LD responds to my earlier post, since while I see some inconsistency in LD's posts, I agree with his overall strategy and think we should put some pressure on those who haven't gotten much. And I'll be out later tonight so I want to make sure I get my vote in while my wits are about me.
I'm on the Cape this weekend, so have been playing via mobile. I intend to give people more (longer) answers when I have the ability - most likely once I get home tomorrow. I will do the best I can for more quick/easy matters in the meanwhile.

I had read your post as you thinking Pablo and either Carini or Maddog were Mafia.
It feels to me like he is overselling the vacation with filler posts to get the count up. I'm not sure town Thor would worry about something like that
was the vote that originally threw Thor back into the runoff iirc. Plus the reasoning was sort of strange and Thor defended himself after with pretty sound reasoning(saying he was just trying to show he was still active whilst on vacation). He also explicitly said the barking up the wrong tree thing if that really is a clue that he was inspector. The other two votes on Thor were Pablo and Maddog. So I feel like one of those is probably mafia and wanted to get rid of him since they couldn't get rid of him in the runoff. That leaves pablo and Maddog. Pablo switched to Thor after I switched away from Thor in favor of Dan. That could also cast some suspicion I guess. Carini voting for Maddog either means that carini is mafia with Pablo (them working together would mean they would know Maddog is town, so an easy vote) or that carini thinks Maddog is mafia. Anyway, I think Pablo and carini switching to Thor after I changed my vote from Thor is strange. Also, Pablo switched his vote from carini to Thor funnily enough. So that shows even more possibility of them working together
Would make sense considering Pablo and Maddog have been voting together multiple times. However, I also have a concern that it might be too obvious - especially at this point in the game.
