I just hope this thing is close to three hours if they have thousands of hours of footage.
Apparently about 2. But youtube premium users will have access to bonus footage. So maybe that would make it “longer” if thats in the premium version versus the ad filled one.
Edit: they probably have the daft punk set in an underground bunker cause thats easily the biggest demand one of anything.

Imagine if they released the full Daft Punk set for the Premium subscribers. A lot of people would sign up for the trial just to see it.

Yeah but it wouldnt matter cause somebody will rip the bonus content and thats that. Anyone can just make a new google account and get the free trial of youtube premium to even access it for a month if you used the one you had.
But would they really do that to Daft when they did the Alive release already? I think they would want like a legit release of it and had some input for that kinda thing. Then again, with 6 years in the making they had plenty of time to get through all that red tape. At most if they had bonus daft footage its like 2 songs worth or something.
So how empty do you think it would be tomorrow at the grounds with rain all day? It would have to deter some people and make em only show up for Rage. Everyone prob would be pissed they didnt bring good enough shoes.
Also that OSL lineup is good but doesn’t it end at 10?
Yeah, and? Hasnt stopped Lolla at all. Pretty much they make you stop playing st 9:55. Mccartney started at 7:30 when he played to he could fit a full set in. Lizzo would go on at 8:30 and so would The Strokes.
We actually would have gotten day 0 and 1 of rainchella, silent disco would be wild tonight Sat and Sun a perfect high 70s no clouds in site I get YT Premium free with my Google Play Music account whoop, last year we even got a separate pool of passes, don't think they did it this year though.

Yes. One of the many reasons I hate OSL. That lineup is great but it’d be impossible to see most of the acts I want to and inevitably stuff like Caribou will end up in the middle of the day.

Just found out Ye was a late add in 06 meaning there was a day where you could see all of Animal Collective > Kanye > Sigur Ros > Depeche Mode > Daft Punk

Think I found out about that in April of 2006... and Kanye did fuck with the schedule. Set times had him going on right after Common and of course it didnt. He was 20 mins late and it messed up the rest of the day on Main. You had to leave Depeche Mode before the encore to make it to Daft.
I wish they would just play full songs from a bunch of legendary sets.
IIRC isn’t the first Coachella documentary from like ten years ago basically this?
Yes, with occasional interviews mixed in. Basically a concert film. That's what this clip is from (whoever uploaded it mistakenly said 2006 when it was '05):
I, too, wish for more footage to be available given that 2005 was my first year and the last one captured in the doc.
