Pharrell is great in theory except he literally can't sing live. He actually can't even really sing at all without studio manipulation. Like not even close. He tried to blame it on the dust storm during Coachella. It's a party if he's trotting out all his collaborators but that's not going to happen for BottleRock.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Not a big fan of Friday, but the Saturday and Sunday acts make this my favorite lineup of 2019 so far. Seems to be that people either hate this or love this lineup though.
It appeals to the exact people who live in the Napa valley - wealthy, middle-aged parents whose only source of new music is still contemporary pop radio. That and a fairly small capacity, especially compared to Coachella or Outside Lands. The only year I went was 2016, which took around a month to sell out I believe, but I was surprised to find I was one of the youngest people there, while my last visit to Outside Lands made me feel like a grandpa.
Think I’m gonna go to Saturday for this. Seems kinda douchey and expensive but uncle Neil is too good to pass up.
Anyone have any tips or anything to know? Considering doing the round trip bus they offer back and forth to SF. Open to renting a place nearby, but seems kinda tough on first glance.
