Not exactly related to the thread but there’s a show at my local shed venue and Meek Mill is booked above Future. How?
he's pretty hot right now, future hasn't been on snl for instance meeks been on twice. also i think future's been having issues moving tickets, and there seems to be a general consensus that he's not great live.
I still find it strange that the artist who got beat in a rap beef by Drake(‘s ghost writers) is booked above the guy who has an entire album with him. Also besides all of the prison drama, what has meek done?
Willie Nelson hasn't played in a long time. I feel like they're gonna shoot for a similar hippie/raver ratio this year since it worked so well this time.
He’s really bad though. Saw him this weekend and it was rough.

Willie would make a lot of sense if they want a Sturgill level country/folk act but I guess MMJ could also sort of fill that spot. Dolly will probably never happen. Not sure who else they could throw in that spot.
if they could pull this off, there won't be another lineup in the country that tops it next year. And honestly this doesn't feel that unrealistic either. I think Vampire Weekend is probably ahead of Billie and Tyler, maybe even ahead of Tame Impala. Not saying it's going to happen, but I could see a scenario where they shock everyone at the Grammys with FOTB the way Arcade Fire did with Suburbs. And if you look at VW's tour itinerary right now, they're playing big pavilions everywhere across the US. Nonetheless, I love this bill.

You guys realize they just sold out with what I would have to assume were their cheapest headliners ever right? You’ll take Travis - Tame - Billie next year and you’ll like it.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Yeah but not everyone is going to come with a 'Buy Two, Get One Free' coupon.

Probably but Phish and Gambino were probably pretty expensive. Phish because they don’t really play festivals and Gambino is billed higher than the Cure af ACL and was a Coachella headliner.
I really want a legit legacy act. Doesn't even have to be a headliner necessarily. A David Byrne, Tears for Fear type would do me just fine.
These type of acts were a huge draw for me at Bonnaroo. Here's some that have been playing other festivals:
Diana Ross Steely Dan Patti Smith Al Green Van Morrison Jeff Lynne's ELO Iggy Pop Herbie Hancock New Order Blondie Violent Femmes The Isley Brothers King Crimson
Some acts I'd be excited to see, in no particular order, while being somewhat realistic:
Sturgill (national slot) Isbell Gaga David Byrne Styx Tame Impala Jay-Z The 1975 Beck Bob Weir in some form Danny Brown Deftones Drive By Truckers Flying Lotus Huey Lewis and the News James Blake The Meters, in some form Primus/Claypool Vampire Weekend Ween Wilco/Tweedy Big KRIT Robyn
Any DJ that plays techno or house and never picks up a microphone
Huey can't hear most of the time now and has stopped touring while they try to find a cure.

Here's my earnest attempt to create a realistic lineup which somewhat mirrors 2019. Certainly not my ideal lineup but I'm sure some personal preference bias slipped in there. Let me know what is unrealistic or unlikely here.

Anyone be down to jam to some Maggie Rogers next year? She's starting to become bigger and bigger and would be a treat to have in a mid-day Saturday or Sunday set!
