I'm seeing a disturbing lack of The Flaming Lips on these lists. Was I the only one who experienced that '14 set???
I was at Nick Cave. Funny story, I was babysitting my friend, who had taken some vegetal extracurriculars for the first time before Jack White. He insisted that he was fine, wasn't really feeling much, etc. So we go to Nick Cave, which I wouldn't have done if he was really tripping (FLips I'm sure would be a better environment for that, but I really wanted to see NC.)
Through the set I keep checking in, and he's into the music, but staring very intensely at the stage the whole time.
When I asked him about it the next morning, I was surprised to hear him say, "Yeah, the music was fantastic, but it was super weird when the singer kept stabbing himself during that song towards the end." I had to actually convince him that Nick Cave wasn't hurting himself during Stagger Lee.
I'm bored and didn't want to put MMJ or King Gizz in a tent.
Can't see Bassnectar on which with all the rumors we have. Maybe a pre-headline what?
Cudi and Snoop I could see in a tent if the others are big enough to even out the audience.
Gizz should and probably will be in a tent. They’re not quite big enough to really hold down that Which spot imo. They make perfect sense in the JRAD spot. I think it’ll be a packed tent but that’s better than a maybe half filled which field
Holy shit guys.. Alright, I don’t consider Kendrick to have headlined I still think Deadmau5 did because Kendrick was billed 4th and played before deadmau5 at 3. Yes Childish played the same day as Phish but that is different because Phish was headlining numerous days. The Stevie Wonder thing I wasn’t there that year, But did Jay-Z open for him? Or was it the other way around. Honestly asking.
All I was saying was typically a headliner is closing the main stage. And Bassnectar playing after instead of before like Odesza seems like it would make him a headliner.

yeah all I meant is if they are booking it with Bassnectar late night on the What like Deadmau5 then I would assume they would book it like Tool - Tame - Bassnectar - Lizzo, I’m sure it’s booked Tool - Tame - Lizzo - Bassnectar. I’m sure Lizzo will have the biggest crowd too seeing how ACL went. All I was saying is if Bassnectar closed the main stage instead of played before, it would be billed differently. But Bonnaroo can bill it however they like I guess.
Why are we still saying there’s only 3 headliners? Lately, it seems like there is 5 or 6. And I’m good with that. If you’re playing one of the biggest stages in the country and the sun has set and you’re almost filling the whole field, you’re a headliner. Just my opinion.
BassLights? Jk And if Pretty Lights plays, I actually would love him to play the new The Other Stage, since there are more Lazer, Fire, ect now added to it and they mentioned sets until sunrise. With everyone thinking that meant he was their last year because of he sunrise set announcement. I hope this year it’s true. Could be true also since meatball said something about being 13’ vibes and that’s when he did that.
