Does it matter that King Gizz is going to be doing a festival in France the weekend before Roo? After their tour ends at Red Rocks they have nothing until the French festival on 6th and 7th of June.
There is a month in between Red Rocks and the festival in France. My hunch is that they go to europe after red rocks for about 3 weeks. The festival in France is either the end of close to end of the Europe Run and then come back to the US to do Bonnaroo and probably a southern tour
Lizzo - Tame - Tool makes sense for the order of days.
Extra long Tool set sounds great but typically they play a similar set night over night. Sounds like Tame Impala (Late Night) 2016 all over again, unless Bonnaroo has learned to communicate it's expectations to artists.

Part of the reason I don’t think this is the case is because that would mean it’s either VW > Tame or a long VW set > a long To set. I don’t think they put VW on the Which either.
I think Jack takes this year off, maybe tours solo in 2021.
With all these reunions happening I think we might get a little white stripes action, but that’s just blind speculation
the White Stripes isn’t a matter of Jack and Meg not liking each other like most reunions, she’s just incapable of performing in front of large crowds now. I could see them doing really small shows in Jack White fashion but I don’t think we’ll ever see the usual reunion Coachella show.

Not really an apt comparison, imo.
Tool usually have a couple songs that they can swap out and play on a given date. For example, in 2016 the setlist I saw on consecutive nights were mostly the same except one night had Hush and the next had Jambi. Even though you are right that for the most part the setlist is similar throughout the tour, they could simply play all of these interchangeable songs. They've also been adding in Descending, which they weren't playing early in the tour. Even playing the entire new album, which is long, would extend the setlist a great deal. They could also break out stuff like Lateralus or the Grudge, which they haven't been playing, no problem.
They're at least capable of playing a longer set. Tame Impala does not give me the sense that they would ever be interested in doing something like that. For all their psych trappings, they're just not the types to go there and do something weird. Tool are the types to bring out Morello for Lateralus in 2007.
Still think it's probably BS. I'm always skeptical about extra info in scoops (like the U2 Joshua Tree thing, which actually turned out to be true). I just think most people who followed Tame knew they weren't playing that long, whereas if Tool got an extended set, Tool fans' expectation would be that they would deliver on that.

Is vampire weekend confirmed Sunday?
They are in NC Friday, no dates until July after that. They could still play Saturday at Roo. No confirmation either way I don't think.

I knew they weren't, you knew they weren't, but plenty of people thought they were, as evidenced by all the upset people afterwards who thought Tame Impala was a jamband.

Oh I hadn’t heard that before, why’s that?? That’s a shame I always wished I could see them live

Extra long set would just be Tool playing equivalent to their arena shows (including a 12 minute intermission), rather than only 90 minutes as they played during 2019 festival sets.

For sure.
Those people still had every right to be disappointed, though. If a band or a Billy Joel is scheduled to play a certain amount of time and doesn't, that sucks. I remember the collective groan from the audience when Kevin said "we have one more song" with forty minutes left, and I was part of that, even if I expected it going in. It's not like Kevin and Co couldn't rehearse a few extra songs, but it's not the mindset of the band.
I could see the visual side being the sticking point for both bands. They're both big productions. Tool have their old videos and stuff that they can slot in for the visuals, though, and they're known to do that, so if they play Sober, for example, they can just roll that for the most part. Tame don't really play along with their music videos, from what I remember.
