Tbh I feel like they've probably hit their peak and aren't getting any bigger
I agree, but as a conversation topic, what artists did y'all think had hit their peak, but then went on to a higher tier of popularity?
First one that comes to mind is Tyler the Creator. Especially around 2014-2016. The Odd Future hype was dead and Cherry Bomb didn't really do that great as an album. Now he's way bigger than he's ever been after Flower Boy and IGOR.

Tyler, the Creator. I didn't care a lot for his older stuff - too abrasive for what I usually enjoy in hip-hop - and I didn't all expect him to drop anything approaching Flower Boy or IGOR.
Walk the Moon - I really loved their older stuff but when they went full cheese-pop they blew up.

We also saw the release of Blond before that which definitely brought back OF hype and showed a lot of people that they were adults now that don't say horrific things for attention anymore

I actually don't really think people connect Frank Ocean with OF that much. Even when Channel Orange came out, it always seemed like he was doing his own thing. He was never really one of the ones saying "horrific things for attention", he was barely with them on the OF tours, and he always had his own fan base. The release of Blonde didn't change how I looked at Tyler or any other previous OF member. However I will say that Flower Boy and Blonde went really well together in summer of 2017.
Edit: I also feel like the Odd Future movement in general is something only teenagers from 2010-2013 really remember. Like an 18 year old who likes Tyler now probably doesn't care about Odd Future.

I agree to certain parts of this but I know for a fact that it's the album that caused me to give other OF artists a listen.
Frank was and still is part of OF, he's on the tapes he's on most of their albums, even like mellowhypes not just tylers.
Tyler's last three albums do not feature any OF members besides Frank, Earl's last two albums do not feature any at all, and Blonde doesn't feature any at all either. OF was a loose collective of people who haven't worked together in six years. Tyler, Earl, Frank, and everyone else are so off in their own worlds I don't even connect them in my brain anymore.
IDLSIDGO had a couple, Vince is on a bunch of stuff he's basically a member, there's crossover with the internet stuff, tylers on Domo's only album, there was the tyler/earl/syd thing at low end a couple years ago, idk, yeah the lower ones got phased out, but those guys also kind of stopped putting out their own music also. its completely reasonable to think they could still do something in the future (npi), and frank's continued association with tyler enforces that.
eh not really? Unless you count Na'kel who is more of a skater and doesn't have any of his own music on Spotify.
Vince is on a bunch of stuff he's basically a member
I mean if that's the standard you're going by....
Sure he worked with Earl when he was coming up. But that's almost like saying Schoolboy Q or A$AP Rocky are a part of OF because they frequently collaborate with Tyler.
tylers on Domo's only album
Let's be honest Domo really needed that favor.
there was the tyler/earl/syd thing at low end a couple years ago,
That was like a nostalgic party they were doing because I think Low End was getting shut down
yeah the lower ones got phased out
Basically Taco and Jasper continue to tour with Tyler. Hodgy lashes out at Tyler occasionally and hasn't done anything relevant in years. Left Brain is in a punk band? Which I only know because I saw it on the Camp Flog Gnaw stream last year. Domo tried to push for a successful solo album and career but it didn't really take off. Now he's secretly Dom is Brockhampton but don't tell anyone. Mike G is probably working at Radio Shack.

With how hard most of those members have fallen off, I don't see any reason for them to come back as the collective they once were. Basically I don't think "Odd Future" is in any of these people's minds anymore (referring to Frank, Tyler, and Earl). They would probably laugh in your face if you asked them how Odd Future is doing.

Vince was on Jet Age of Tomorrow if you're saying it's a loose collective he's been a part of it since 2010.
And Tyler still invites them all to flognaw it's not a pink floyd thing where they hate each other.
I understand they're all doing their own things but they're also still all very young and they could easily just do something small, even if it's just a couple of tracks here and there
I DON’T KNOW THE TUNEZ ANYMORE, PLEASE HALP, AM OLD.
And no please don’t ask what I’d like. The lineup wouldn’t sell like hot cakes, or regular cakes; fuck even cold cakes would sell better than my personal dream fest.

I don't think I really think of anyone that I thought had peaked and just got bigger. I think more about bands/artists that I thought would have blown up huge and then didn't. They hit a spot and then instead of continuing to rise started to decline.

Phoenix, like every stage of their career
They're on both side of this, because at the same time a lot of people thought they would get a bump from the success of Wolfgang Amadeus and headlining Coach, but J-Boy was largely a flop and their profile went way down.
Hopefully Brockhampton ends up being one of those groups who "hit their peak, but then went on to a higher tier of popularity". They seem really burnt out and I got that vibe from their last album.
