Hi! I just bought a GA ticket and I had a question about how the general admission camping works.
I will be flying to Nashville and getting the shuttle to the festival so I won't be driving a car in. Ideally I will grab a spot at the Tent Only section but I understand those fill up quickly. In the event I cannot get a spot there...where do you end up? Are people without a car camping in the same area as people with cars? And are we assigned a spot or do we just get to pick one?
I know about Groop/Theme camping and the LeBon tents but I where do people without any of those things set up?

Good decisions. I can't imagine packing light enough to fly in, and I have no idea where you'd have to go if TO filled up completely. Plenty of people have done it and enjoyed the festival though, and the good news is that if past years are any indication, you'll find room in Tent Only. I only camped there in 2016 but I don't remember it being too full to squeeze in one more tent in previous years (of course a lot of other folks here probably know better than me).
There were still people setting up around me on Friday in 2016, and I'm not sure the NW corner ever filled up. When will you be arriving? As long as you're in on Thursday, the earlier the better, you should be fine. Lugging way too much gear from a parking spot elsewhere kind of sucks (trust me), and you'll want comfortable earplugs to slip with, but being a 1-3 minute walk from the gate is sooo nice. If I make it this year my camping choice will depend on who else ends up going, but I'll probably opt for TO if it's only up to me.
