Ya gotta eat a hard taco with a flour taco underneath for all the crumblies!
That's some next level taco shit, I'm doing that next time we have taco night!
Don't most authentic taco places usually give you two shells per taco anyway? I know that's usually the case for soft tacos anyway. I don't know if I've ever ordered a hard taco, so I don't know how that is approached.

To clarify, you put the soft taco on the plate, and so when the ingredients and the hard taco crumble onto the plate, you can wrap it up in the soft taco

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
I don't think I've bought hard taco shells in a decade lol
I went a long time only doing soft shelled tacos and went back when I discovered stand and stuff. The crunch adds a lot.
Those do rule. I went the other direction due to them being fried, and because I eat too many corn chips already. I got to liking spring rolls more than fried egg rolls, though a perfectly fried and drained egg roll is hard to beat.

Sometimes I don't feel like shredding up a bunch of cheddar cheese to put on chili. Too much trouble to clean the cheese grater. And obviously pre-shredded cheese from the store is bad. So what I've been doing sometimes lately is putting blue cheese crumbles on top, and it rocks.
I tried bleu, I just can’t do it. I did try some white Stilton with port one time, and it was okay. But once it’s got the penicillin or whatever in it, I can’t get past the taste.
I’m slumming it tonight with a frozen French bread pizza. I added some yellow tomato, fresh jalapeños, red and black pepper, oregano and whatever pizza spices are to make it edible. Not exciting but better than out the wrapper.

speaking of cheese graters, the first couple minutes of this video is a bit about cheese graters i found quite enjoyable at lunch today. and apparently this guy has a 4 hour stand up special on netflix? well it's 4 one hour specials dropped at the same time that all connect.

I just drop our grater in the dishwasher. Never had a problem.

For the New Orleans folks: we got into town around lunch time, went to Turkey and the wolf and got some amazing sandwiches. We decided to get a little fancy and got a last minute reservation at Galatoire’s….it was outstanding and everything we could have wanted in a fancy dinner. Tomorrow we are going to Molly’s Rise and Shine for breakfast and lunch is still up in the air. I also forgot to mention we are traveling with our 3 and 5 year old daughters and they are both being amazing trying everything we put In front of them.

Killer. That’s a great day of food in. Galatoire’s is never doing anything future forward or eclectic. But they don’t fuck up the classics. Plus every meal there is a celebration which is one of the ways they stand out. It’s a vast menu so you can usually get what you want prepared however. Staff is superb there though it can be a little noisy with the tiled floor. Turkey and the Wolf is random as shit for a sandwich place to get best new restaurant of the year. I’ll be eager to hear what all y’all got to try once you get done with vacation. Their owner and chef Mason Hereford is from VA but worked here for a while, cooked around the country, moved back and is owning shit. He was recently on Dirt which is that program where they find a local chef who takes them around the region to find weird local shit and then they come back and cook it all. It was good as fuck and only about 25 minutes and from like 3 weeks ago. He also owns Molly’s which I don’t know anything about. So that’s your guy.

Go to Killer Po-boy for lunch. Get the pork belly poboy. You won't regret it.

It’s Friday though so possibly Emeril’s or some shit could be open for lunch. Killer would rule too if their hotel is close.
I generally rinse/scrub anything pretty completely before putting it in the dishwasher. Idk if I need to that's just how I do it.
Sometimes I just cut little cubes of cheese off so that I only need a knife.
Apparently if you spend more than about two minutes rinsing items before loading the dishwasher you negate the environmental benefits of using a dishwasher vs handwashing.

I have a brand new dishwasher and I still basically hand wash before I put them in. It even said that it takes off gunk that's on your plates for less than 48 hours. Who puts dirty dishes in a dishwasher? Should I just be putting them in dirty? And who cares about the environment? Last question was sarcasm.

i don't put shit in my dishwasher that has shit sticking to it, i brush that off in the garbage or hit it with the sink sprayer, i don't want stuff clogging up the dishwasher drain, but a dishwasher will do a far far more effective job of cleaning a dish than we can do with our hands. our hands can't handle water that steaming hot for very long.
i hand wash all my pots and pans though, i don't put them in the dishwasher, to help with longevity.

Scrape the solid stuff off in the garbage and then toss it in the machine.
