For grilled cheese I just melt butter in the pan and rub both pieces of bread in it before I start. Same with quesadillas.
I like to soften my butter in a perfectly room temperature room for about 4 hours, then I coat a vigorous layer of butter on my bread slices. let that marinate overnight, 10 hours minimum. add cheese, then I'll put it in the oven at about 220 for about 7 hours. 😙

i've only used doordash maybe 3-4 times. i prefer to go pickup food myself. gives me an excuse to leave the house, listen to a podcast or music in the car, and more money goes to the restaurant. but i live in a small city so driving wherever is easy after 5 o'clock traffic, i understand those in bigger cities may have more incentive to do delivery.

We used it a couple of times and did not have great experiences. It took forever and the food was cold, which may not have been the fault of the drivers, but didn’t make us inclined to keep using it regardless. We are also in a small city, and none of the places we get food from are more than a ten minute drive, so it kind of seems wasteful to use Door Dash.
Our Chinese place closed because of covid until like September or November. Now they are only open for drive through which I love.

I love BK's original chicken sandwich, and I think their fries are underrated - they are among the most consistently cooked fast food french fries, for sure. I don't go there often, though, that's for sure. If they added a gluten free bun with the impossible burger, I might go more often due to that satisfying the wife's dietary needs.

I think that McDonalds just partnered with impossible burger in the last week.
I, too, prefer onion rings over fries but BK's are pretty meh.
Better than BK fries. Those things are fucking nasty.
I'll take your word. If they aren't seasoned I don't even bother. I'll do Arby's or Popeyes. Five Guys' Cajun fries. That's all that comes to mind, though.
McDonald's is literally across the street from my street. I refuse to eat there. Not only is it gross, but that particular location is the FUCKING WORST. There is no Whataburger anywhere near me.

Yeah weirdly no Whataburgers in NOLA, looks like. There are a couple near BR and like 8 in Shreveport area though lol. I wonder if Shreveport is an oil industry thing.

There's one in Lafayette I have eaten at before (when Kyle went to college). NOLA is really weird about who it allows to setup shop.
