As if I needed yet another reason to crush on him! Bell peppers are gross.
They're fine. I rarely eat green ones but I go through a few yellow, orange and red ones a week. Every once in a while I'll do those tie dye ones if it makes sense aesthetically.
Just checked, I have ten bell peppers in four colors in my fridge right now, plus a couple anaheims and ~dozen each of jalapenos and serranos.
I love peppers.
Red peppers are really good outside of SW style food too. Roasted red peppers in pesto or tomato sauce are awesome.
I made a Greek mushroom and leek stew last night; ~1/2 lb each cooked in a LOT of EVOO with green onions and garlic, then a scoop or two of tomato paste and a cup of crushed tomatoes. Sauteed a red pepper in garlic a d tossed it into the thickened stew, top with basil and breadcrumbs and mozza, tossed in the oven til crispy on top. Delish.

I made enchiladas last night and broke the cardinal rule of handling chilies: not using the bathroom without washing your hands first. Had to jump in the shower for a little bit.

I use always under the impression that butter was supposed to be served at room temperature in a butter dish. I thought it was best at room temperature.

I keep the box in the fridge, but each stick goes in the butter dish as I open it, which I keep in the cabinet. Also, unsalted butter definitely sound should be refrigerated lol
