I’ve said I wouldn’t publicly talk about rumors anymore, but this isn’t a rumor anymore because it’s happening. There will be a new event happening in Manchester at Great Stage Park in October of this year. AC will be announcing the new event / festival in the coming months, with tickets going on sale in April.
AC has long wanted to leverage their investment on the site in other events, this will be the first one where they’re going to try it out. It likely won’t be the long rumored Country / Americana festival, but one more focused on Classic Rock.
I personally probably won’t attend, but I think them leveraging Great Stage Park for additional resources, infrastructure and tax revenue for Coffee County and Manchester is a good idea. It will be a bit of a gamble on AC’s part to see if other demographics will want to camp, but I think it’s a safe play that could really pay off for them.
