Having 3 of the Top 6 or 7 offensive players in the league is helpful. Brees is Brees. Thomas is about to get paid the richest WR contract in history as he continues to break records. And then there’s AK41. Baldy did a nice job in his weekend analysis. Cat Daddy is kind of a dumb moniker, but he’s a guaranteed playoff berth in your FFL team if he stays healthy this year.
Yeah. We are all real happy to have gotten him. Ginn has to stay healthy because no one else is ready to be WR #2. But you figure if Thomas gets 115 catches, Kamara 80-85 and Cook maybe 60-65, I don’t know if there’s a lot more balls to go around.
I have him in my dynasty league, he's had some good years with some mediocre guys throwing to him so hoping Brees really gets the best out of him. With kamara and Mike you gotta think he's going to basically have a linebacker with little safety help all season.
I agree. I don’t have a feel much for what Murray is going to bring to the offense. So that’s another piece that maybe they can integrate somewhat into the passing game. I think we will be top few offense again but who knows if they’re going to continue to move toward tempering passing first or not. I don’t know.
Wings and football talk. What other threads do we need? I think Jortle's Jags are the most likely team to go from last to first this year. I see the Titans as the cellar dweller this year in that division. Or perhaps Houston.
I love Michael Thomas. I think he's elite and Top 3 WR in the league. But unless we truly think that Brees will be around for another 3 years or so, I'm not sold on the idea of paying him insane money for an extended contract. Once Brees is gone, the offense is going to undoubtedly change significantly. We also have numerous other young talent that will be up for new contracts in the very near future. It's a good problem to have, but it's still a problem.
Can someone help convince me why having a top paid WR will be beneficial to this team if Brees has maybe 2 more quality seasons left in him?

I was like "why would the Texans be substantially worse?" but then I was like "oh yeah their elite DE is holding out and at the same time they have elected to go through the season without a GM"
I am still on madden 17 where Peterman is in the mid 70s. In my current franchise, I traded away Winston from Tampa Bay and am building Peterman into a franchise qb. Alternate realities are fun.

One of the main stories coming out of training camp (besides Zion related stuff) is the connection Brees and Cook are developing. They've been showing hookups and touchdowns on news highlights, and then there have been a bunch of local stories about their developing chemistry.
