Murray looked really sharp last night and there were some creative plays drawn up. At least if we suck again this year, it will be spectacularly bad and not slow and boringly bad.

HBO put the first episode of Hard Knocks on YouTube. So many Gruden gems already in the first two minutes.
"In the old days, we'd do two more practices in the afternoon in pads. Now, I'd get incarcerated for doing that." "I'm not into dreams anymore. I'm into f*cking nightmares."
Also, I wish this would have gotten posted earlier before the Best WR discussion as they've said Antonio Brown is the best WR in the league about 100000000000000 times in the first 18 minutes.

Dak reportedly turned down $30 mil a year and wants 40. No way is a game manager worth that. I had hoped that he, Zeke, and Coop might take a little less than market value to keep the team’s nucleus together. Contract negotiations for Byron, Jaylon, and Vander Esch are right around the corner.

I'm seeing multiple reports that the 40M number is BS.

I think it was his interaction with Gruden when he was telling him to back off hitting his teammates without pads on that got to me.

In other for now news, Mike Mayock said yesterday in an interview that it was time for Antonio Brown to be all in or all out as the Raiders had been understanding of his situation but it was time to get ready for the season now that all options had seemingly been exhausted re: his helmet. Today, Brown returns to practice.
For Hard Knocks, sang_xcx, you are missing out on some quality Clemson content if you have not watched it. Clelin Ferrell rides a horse in the first episode. In episode two, Gruden tells Hunter Renfrow and his wife upon meeting her that Renfrow had obviously married up. Renfrow is also made to sing at the start of a team meeting and delivers a terrible version of Lean On Me.

I've seen it. Renfrow's wife was Miss Clemson. Definitely over his head.

I was joking when I said for now, but Brown has now apparently filed a new grievance related to helmets.
He's the greatest in receptions after 6 years. His "GOAT" for most catches in 6 seasons is going to fall hard this year to Jarvis Landry, who barring injury, will shatter the through 6th season receptions record. He needs 47 catches to do it as he continues to set the pace and re-write the record books ahead of Michael Thomas who is rewriting Landry & Beckham's records. He's never had less than 81 catches in a season, and has 481 total in 5 years vs. Hopkins' 528 in 6.

This confirms that “receptions” is not the greatest measuring stick for a receiver, and reminds me that I hate PPR fantasy leagues.
