Texans only get character guys. Like JJ Watt. Or that time some guy drowned in Antonio Smith's pool during a party and no one knew until the next morning.
I'm not sure Jake Jortles is the type of guy to delight in a person's mental health issues or a torn ACL but if Yang starts surging up the political polls then I gotta believe Jortles went down to the crossroads on highway 61.
TBH I was hammered last night when I heard the news and I can’t say my friends and I were sad in that moment.
So the obvious question with hindsight 2020... should the colts have traded that pick and stayed with Manning?
I assume Duke will be the starter. The rumour was that we were looking to trade clowney for another WR but I wonder if they'll field offers for backs now.
Is that why he was undrafted? FYI i thought he was good too but apparently i have no idea what makes an NFL rb
It's probably because I'm a Michigan fan but dude averaged 110 yards last season and scored 10 touchdowns. Plus was first team all big ten. I think he has huge upside

Oddly enough, not that they're outstanding records but most Texans rushing records are owned by an undrafted RB.
I saw an article about the Texans trading for Melvin Gordon hypothetically. Texans need an RB and have cap space for a long term deal. Gordon wants out of LA. LA could probably get a good deal for him.

If they get Gordon they're going to the super bowl.

Let me tell you about a man name Bill O'Brien. Until last year, BOB had beaten exactly one team in the regular season that went on to make the playoffs. In four seasons. His first three years the team went 9-7, somehow, (by playing in the AFC South) making the playoffs two of those years. Then, last season, after managing to beat the Colts (once in two games) and Cowboys (in OT thanks to Jason Garrett being a feckless coward), they got their shit kicked in at home by that Colts team, a game which was over essentially after the first quarter.
The Texans are also now supposedly trading away one of the scariest defensive players in the league, a trade which will be negotiated without a GM, which they have decided not to have this season. Vegas has their O/U at 8 wins. They have one of the worst offensive lines in the league. They are not winning a Super Bowl, with or without Melvin Gordon. They may lead the league in fantasy points, but that's all.

allow me to rant for a second.
I fucking hate people comparing things NFL players (or any athlete) do to regular people's jobs. it came up during the kneeling thing, it comes up every time a player holds out, and now again with luck retiring. the idiots who say, "if i protested like that at my job i'd be fired on the spot," or "if i held out at my job looking for more money my boss would laugh his ass off and fire me," or "I have to give 2 weeks notice, why does andrew luck just get to quit?" SHUT THE FUCK UP. your shitty 9-5 is not even in the same universe as being an nfl player. you are the most replaceable person on earth, nfl players, especially marquee players holding out, are top 5 in the WORLD. so yes, they have a leg to stand on. millions of people aren't tuning in to watch you work, your talents aren't worth millions of dollars, you have zero platform, and no one gives a shit what you think. If i see one more tweet or hear one more person call in to sports radio echoing these opinions, I'm gonna fucking explode.

I will never understand this plan. It just seems like NFL 101.
As much fun as the Raiders are, I was really wishing the Texans were the Hard Knocks team while watching that last preseason game.
I am looking forward to Hard Knocks upcoming since the Raiders were one of the teams involved in that debacle with the CFL stadium. Curious to see how the players reacted.
