Yeah, that wasn't expected. They are always in the middle of some controversial shit nowadays we forget that Gruden was a pretty good coach.
Now that the Saints vs. Texans game is over, I can go back to being somewhat of a Texans fan. I never really liked them, but I had Watson on both of my finished-in-the-money fantasy teams last year (and one this year) and became a big fan of his though I loved him in College. He is going to be a star for a long ass time if the Texans can protect him. Greenie was going off this morning about all the hits making him physically angry when he watches the games. He got hit on over half the dropbacks last night. We have a decent defense as far as getting to a QB (3rd last year), but we're not 6/7 sacks good against the Texans. Watson will have a short career if this continues. I know he was the most sacked and hit QB last year, and some of that is his mobility (runs and also extending plays in the backfield). But he's got to be protected better. Whether that's scheme or taking away one or two options to help chip or just stay back and block, they need to do something.
Do us non-Texans fans all agree that he lifted him off the ground and brought him down. I'm reluctant to say he "slammed" him but either way it's a pretty textbook no-no of a tackle, right?
Of course you can’t suplex a mfer in the NFL. He punched and slapped Lattimore before that. I hope he gets fined for both. I realize he was going up against an elite CB who only gave up a few of the catches, but he acted like a big fucking bitch that game. I’m not listening to his bullshit explanation. You can talk shit all day, but when you get frustrated to the point of attacking two different players ina game, you probably need psychiatric help and anger management. Boo hoo. Your manhood got challenged and disrespected so you act like a fucking out of control 4th grader.
So when some dudes do the same thing to him next game, he's going to be cool with it, right?
Very impressed with his talents last night, but his dirty playing and idiotic response to it in those post game interviews makes me lose my respect for him.
I just don't give a shit about Saints fans getting mad about physical play after that whole thing with the exact same head coach still coaching them
You want to blame the former owner’s wife too? Seems like all the players got exonerated because they had a legal venue that coaches and management did not. His antics would have been bitch move against any other team as well.
It was a physical play, in a big moment. yes it deserved a penalty, which was given, but anything further would be silly. Even the ref just telling him you can't do that instead of really giving it to him backs that up.
By itself it was one thing. With the punch to Latimore’s head and two additional slaps to his helmet preceding the suplex, it should be way more problematic and is certainty indicative of childish tendencies and lack of self control. You shouldn’t have to be a parent to recognize that.
There were DMs that leaked yesterday supposedly that suggested someone was going to come forward with an extortion attempt. But they were between someone going by Chlocaine on IG and Brown, so idk.
If true, it's definitely many steps above a TO or a Rodman style falling apart, but we've had Big Ben and Kobe both get around clear infractions, and then Rose comes to mind as someone who had a pretty close call.
