Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Bring something else then. I tried to inject intelligence into this forum, but it’s not remotely a serious place to discuss football among those who know football. It’s more a fan shit talking place except during game day when the one or two people besides me who have a clue have been known to comment on games in progress
OK. The Steelers are getting mostly roasted for this Minkah Fitzpatrick trade. I think it's a good trade and understandable from both organizations perspectives. What do you say?
It's a hefty price to pay for a safety/slot receiver, IMO. The Steelers probably could have better helped their team elsewhere next year. It's not a terrible trade, though.

Eli had two unforgettable runs, and he will probably end up in the Hall of Fame. If I ran the show, he wouldn’t even be in consideration. The only Hall of Famers of that era are Brady, Peyton Manning, Brees, Rodgers and Big Ben although I think he’s a notch below the first 4 and Id be open to an argument against him in a world where the HoF was more strict.

Rivers may belong in that conversation as well.
In the convo but not in my hypothetical hall. Gotta cut it off at some point.

How is a QB who won two super bowl mvps in the middle of the Patriots dynasty, both times beating the patriots as a huge underdog, not gonna get in the HOF.

Was there a single season where you'd put Eli in the conversation as a top 5 QB in the league? For me, maybe there's a year here or there, he made 4 Pro Bowls (which are an imperfect marker, to be fair) so I guess he would have been, but they aren't memorable to me.
The Hall of Fame should be the best guys at their position in the era. It probably already is too weighted toward QBs. As far as the two rings go, he's way behind Roethlisberger statistically.
I mean, I'd definitely want him leading my team over Eli or Roethlesberger.
It's actually pretty interesting how close Rivers and Roethlisberger are statistically. Ben is a career 64.3% passer, Phil is 64.5. Phil has a career 95.6 rating, Ben is 94.0. Rivers has passed for 262 yards per game, Ben 261.

If you want to have a philosophical discussion about what should get a player into the Hall of Fame, Eli is a decent player to center that discussion around, but he's gonna get in.
It's not like your point was any more profound than anyone else's. Esteban said the same thing before you did.
Jortles did, too, but just said in his opinion that shouldn't be what makes a hall of famer. All of this has been the conventional opinion on Eli since he won the second SB, basically.

All the replies are were basically, "this is dumb and you're wrong but yeah he'll probably get in"
