It's not like your point was any more profound than anyone else's. Esteban said the same thing before you did.
Jortles did, too, but just said in his opinion that shouldn't be what makes a hall of famer. All of this has been the conventional opinion on Eli since he won the second SB, basically.
All the replies are were basically, "this is dumb and you're wrong but yeah he'll probably get in"
I could read potent's that way but I don't think anyone else was really saying you're dumb and wrong that he will make the hall of fame, just that they think he shouldn't.
I'm on the side of he's going to and he should. It's the most important position in sports and he won two titles. That's good enough for me.
CBS will have the double header, and Fox will have the single game. There are a couple of decent looking games this week:
Top Tier Games Baltimore @ Kansas City
Next Best Games Houston @ L.A. Chargers
Could Be Okay, Could Suck Rams at Browns Saints at Seahawks (luster is gone from this one) Tennessee @ Jacksonville Falcons @ Colts Chicago @ Washington Cincinnati @ Buffalo Denver @ Green Bay Detroit @ Philadelphia Oakland @ Minnesota
Dud Games/Possible Blowouts Jets @ New England Pittsburgh @ 49ers Miami @ Dallas New York Giants @ Tampa Bay Carolina @ Arizona

I didn't call anyone dumb, and I don't think Eli will get in, and I don't think he should get in.

Nah man if you reply to anything anyone says with something other than "Yes sir! Correct opinion!" you're saying they're dumb.
We didn't get either broadcast, but I watched RedZone and caught some of both the Chargers vs. Lions and what they carried of the Jags v. Texans. Those games were low scoring, but that isn't necessarily indicative of either the Texans or the Chargers which I think you would agree. Texans looked great in the MNF Opener against the Saints, and the Chargers looked decent in their week 1 win against the Colts which I got to see also. To me, it should be a decent match up and is likely to have at least some head to head playoff implications later considering the early likelihood that both teams have a decent shot of winning their respective divisions. They're also two good teams in my opinion. Do you disagree with that?

no they just both played like shit last week lol
i think we'll be fine, we're definitely a play to the level of your competition team (except when we play the pats)

Disagree with Carolina/Arizona being a dud game. Kyler's thrown 300+ both games so far (second only after Cam for first two starts). Could be cool to see them go back and forth if Cam plays. If he doesn't, there's still McCaffrey v DJ.

Fair. We just disagree on the initial look. Maybe it will be a good game? Cardinals are interesting, but they're not that good yet. Panthers are interesting, but they won't be that good outside of the division.
FWIW, Saints vs. Seahawks would be in the marquis matchup category except Brees is out. It may end up interesting if we go with a 2 headed QB option - Teddy as the pure passer and Taysom Hill as the mobile guy. But it's not a top tier. I was just throwing out my look at the games since it appears some people would be happy with a little more depth than name calling and homer fan b.s. I'm still going to do that every chance I get, but I think listening and learning does have a lot of value. With sports betting becoming legalized - and probably headed here next year if it doesn't get blocked by the outsized GOP/Evangelical influence in the state legislature - the more information people have and the more opinions considered the better IMHO.

I didn't say that. I said that some people wanted more than my team rules/no it doesn't. I didn't care either way. I enjoy intellectual football discussions as well as shit talking. I plan to do both as warranted. The difference in my homerism is that I'm going to back that shit up with stats.

Tell Cook to back some shit up with some stats. He's killing me.

Me too. I was pretty sure he’d catch 80-85, ? He’s got a couple nice catches and some drops. Disappointed in him so far, but we will see. Kirkwood to IR and we activated Lil’Jordan Humphrey from the practice squad. He had a couple long plays in preseason so maybe he can translate it into a couple deep balls. Idk?
