Like I wanna give you guys shit because of the Patriots history with refs being on their side, but I can't because I hate awful refs. Some of those calls/noncalls were wild.

Well just the "we review scoring plays, and even though it was a score it wasn't called that so it isn't automatically challenged as a scoring play" verbage defense is fucking dumb. It's a scoring play if he wasn't out so you review if hes out. That seems like an easy way to not look bad.
Were any of you even alive and sentient for the Tuck Rule game? Get outta here with that Patriots bullshit.
Part of me hopes the Patriots wind up as a 3 seed. Cause when Pittsburgh comes to Foxboro again, it'll be fun watching the Steelers get destroyed again.

Oh, come on, that won't be fun for anybody.. Unless Big Duck Energy is too much for Belichick.
I'm up around 35 pts. He's got Wentz and Sanders, I got Alshon.
Hoping I can hang on for the W. We both put up above average numbers this week. Thankfully he had AJ Brown on the bench, though I had Zach Pascal on mine.

If I lose by 8 points I'm sending a strongly worded letter to the refs in protest about that TD.
Officially down by 22 with Wentz and Alshon left. FLY EAGLE FLY
Fucking playoffs. The 8 team playoff in a league I didn't make it in went 8 defeated 1, 7 defeated 2, 6 defeated 3 and 5 defeated 4. While a couple of people have won from the 8 spot over the years, I don't think the 4 top teams ever lost.
In my other league where 6 teams make the playoffs and 1 and 2 get a byeweek 1st week, I don't think the guy I'm playing realized he made the playoffs. He left Lamar Jackson on the bench and has Jones in tonight. I went ahead and dumped a bench player to pick up Manning to put the squeeze on his ass just in case he was planning on grabbing him today. I'm up 92-78.8 and still have Golden Tate and Barkley whereas he only has Jones. It'll be a hollow 1 week victory as the #1 team beat almost everyone by 300 points and #2 was still ahead of everyone else by a good bit.

Terrible refs really are ruining this game. But it’s hard to feel bad for a team that’s been playing 11 on 16 ball for 15 years. But still you want the game to be called right. Kinda conflicted but don’t feel terrible. It’s a regular season game, it’s not the Saints call from last year.
Eagles are at 32%. Were they to lose to the Giants and fall to 5-8, they'd need to figure out a way to beat the Cowboys and have them lose another game as well. Cowboys play the Rams, Eagles and Redskins. After the Giants game tonight, Eagles play the Redskins, Cowboys and Giants again. If the Eagles win, both are 6-7, but the Cowboys would be ahead in the second tiebreaker (division records 4-0 vs. 2-1) as well as the head to head due to the 37-10 win they already chalked up on the Eagles. Eagles could win out and if the Cowboys win all but the Eagles game, they would both be 1-1 head to head and 5-1 in the NFC East. Divisional Playoff Tiebreakers go:
1) Head to Head (best won-lost-tied % in games between the clubs) {Cowboys up 1-0} 2) Best won-lost-tied % in games played within the division. {Cowboys up 4-0, 1-1} 3) Best won-lost-tied % in common games * (See Below) 4) Best one-lost-tied % in conference games 5) Strength of Victory 6) Strength of Schedule 7) Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed 8) Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed 9) Best net points in common games 10)Best net points in all games 11)Best net touchdowns in all games 12)Coin Toss
Cowboys and Eagles have 12 common opponents: Giants x2, Redskins x2, Dolphins, Bills, Patriots, Jets, Bears, Lions, Vikings, Packers. As of now, the common opponent records are:
Dallas: 5-6 (1 game to go) Eagles: 5-4 (3 games to go)
Eagles look to be in the driver seat for this tiebreaker due to the weak common opponent competition remaining (Giants x2, Redskins). Cowboys look like their best bet will just be to finish the sweep the Eagles and win one other game.

We had an unfortunate call yesterday where we faked a punt and threw the ball downfield. Our "gunner" was the anticipated target and was held around his collar for the entire 40 yards he ran on the route. The NFL did not call a P.I. and noted that you can't review a holding call or non-call. Well how about throwing the flag for holding you stupid fucking blind moronic assholes? Saints and officiating controversies are nothing new. But it still sucks considering they gave the 49ers a 1st on a super brief (half second) holding call to convert a 3rd down by penalty where we'd stopped them on the very next series. Fuck those chump motherfuckers for their endless assfuckery.
My solution? Do like the NBA and expand on it. Besides calls on the field that need to be challenged, get one additional wildcard challenge you can use for anything.

I appreciate the effort in typing all of this out but both of these teams are doodoo and dont deserve to host a playoff game

LOL. Someone gets in and will host either Seattle, San Francisco, Green Bay, LA Rams or Minnesota (whoever ends up in 6th place). I'd redirect you to January 2011 when the New Orleans Saints traveled to Seattle as an 11 point favorite and 11-5 wildcard team and defending Super Bowl Champion vs a 7-9 division champion. We lost 41-36.

on fake punts, you can't call PI on the "gunner"
They don't call it on the gunner but they will call it on any inside receivers who are thrown to. But holding is holding. If you're (you the ref) not going to acknowledge a holding penalty as egregious as that, you should be out of a job. That was fucking dismal and needs to be changed. I don't really care that it was the Saints that got fucked on that. It could have been any team, and it would still be 100% wrong.
FWIW, you can block a gunner all the way down the field when he's going to try to tackle the returner. But you still can't hold him. It's a fucking first down.
