Maybe but now they the Cardinals have to get rid of him. Could see Giants or Redskins getting him too. Patriots being a wild card.
Are you a Cardinals fan? I thought you lived in Atlanta
Yeah, I always associated Falcons with the whole Mike Vick thing when I was young which left a bad taste in my mouth. Watched SB43 and just went with the team with the coolest logo and stuck with them.

I live in Phoenix, so I started pulling for them (as long as they are not playing the Panthers)
The screen caps for the Raiders and Giants fan when their picks were announced are fucking killing me.
The Raiders subreddit lmao. It's not just that it's a giant reach because maybe they couldn't trade down, it's that they had THREE first round picks. That's franchise changing right there and THAT'S your first one? One you could've gotten with your third pick?

It's a premium position, there's no guarantee they get him if they trade back once Allen was off board. I guess he "fits" better than Allen, but idk he looks pretty good.

Good to see Gruden's still doing his franchise-killing thing.

It's only a shock because no one was predicting it. He's an incredible player. It's not a shock to me that they picked him that high. Obviously they liked him more than any of the other DE's. He wouldn't have been there at their 2nd pick.

Obligatory reminder that this man is a Clemson homer.

It's a shock because other teams valued him much lower. You know they could have gotten him later, or at least traded back a few picks and stockpiled more picks later in the draft. It's an overdraft and puts a lot of undue pressure on the kid.

You don't know that though. No one really knows what each team values or what they're going to do. I heard he was 4th DE prospect. He went 2nd. Not a huge leap.
Seems like the Bengals now have the most talented offensive lineman in this draft class, which is nice I suppose. Our linebacker core though is bottom 5 in the league - big gut punch to have the Steelers trade up to one spot in front of us to get Bush.
Also, we obviously still have major uncertainty at QB. Very likely this will be Dalton last year as the starter with a new offensive coach in town. A lot of Bengals fans think we will be one of the five worse teams in the league this year...have the oppurnitiy to take Tua/Fromm/Herbert in the 1st next year - I'm not so sure. We've had three straight years of 6/7 wins, feel like that is what is likely again this upcoming season. If it does play out that way, those 3 QB's will not be around for us next draft.
I would have rolled the dice with Haskins at 11 last night. Seems to have a laser for an arm, and if he did happen to be a bust...it's not like the franchise has much to lose currently. Good chance either Lock or Grier will be around for our 2nd round pick tonight (think Tampa may take one off the board before our pick) - which would be good value for either. No interest in Ryan Finely (who we did work-out).

I think it's pretty obvious they could have moved down a few spots and have gotten him and some more value later which is more important for a team as terrible as the raiders anyway

Tampa's not taking a QB. Bruce Arians likes Winston. I think they go DL, OL or CB in the 2nd.

I know Bruce is high on Winston - but taking a QB in the 2nd round for grooming/insurance to a shaky QB1/see how he fairs in training camp + preseason would not be much of a surprise.
Not sure why I am even playing around with the possiblity from a Bengals stand-point. They will take defense (probably either Mack Wilson or DE) in the 2nd, maybe take Finely in the 3rd if he's on the board. Which would be very meh.
