we currently live in Knoxville, but after roo is over we'll be heading out to New Mexico for about a year and a half. Roo is the last big thing we do before we move.
nashville 615 born and raised, now im in school in denver and miss it everyday...cant wait to bring my british friend home this summer to the south and the best experience of his life!
I saw that some of the VIPs that live in the Nashville area were talking about meeting up before Roo. I thought that was an awesome idea! I'm not a VIP (and a little jealous!), so I was curious of any others in the Nashville area would be interested in meeting up in the month before Roo? I'll be busy when June hits, but I'd be willing to meet up before then. VIPers and non-VIPers alike, just to meet and hang out!! Who's interested??
Born in the Atomic City of Oak Ridge, TN. Raised around Knoxville and Clinton.
East Tennessee is very beautiful. West and middle Tennessee are the more crowded areas in Tennessee, I believe. But nevertheless still badass. I love Tennessee!
Raised in Huntsville, AL but moved to the big city of Petersburg, TN 3 years ago. Pop. 608...but as beautiful and hilly as you'd ever want!! And only 45 min. drive to Bonnaroo!!!
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, "Holy sh*t ... what a ride!"
Fayetteville to Ardmore.....and all the lil spots in between....like an hour outta Manchester sooo.....roofanintn you know a lil something of the pheNOMaNON of Manchester hair?

I'm hitting the same trail as last year (we had no problem at all). I'm taking hwy 130 straight out of petersburg to shelbyville, picking up hwy 41 all the way to tullahoma and turning left onto hwy 55. This leads right to bushy branch road. I know I could cut some mileage off and take 129 to lynchburg and ride hwy 55 all the way there, but I don't wanna go through lynchburg. A little too small, a little too nosey, imho. I'll stick with the bigger towns of shelbyville (I work there) and tullahoma. There's enough traffic to try to blend into. In Lynchburg, the cops have time to sit watching the grass grow and for the occasional hippie of course! Which way are you going? I'm not sure what time we're leaving, hopefully early am around 6, if you wanna go caravan style.

yeah i will probably take 55 this year last year was hell!!...i am leavin after work on thurs around 5 hoping not to be in BFE neer have before whaddya think...what year is this for you?
This is my second year. I think if you arrive in the evening you got as much chance ending up in bfe as arriving any other time. It seems to be a crap shoot anyway. We are parking in Access Camping again this year. My husband has a triple fusion in his ankle and has had 2 back surgeries, so it's a necessity for him. Too bad you're going later in the day or you could cruise in with us as a companion vehicle and park closer. I had to work all thursday last year and didn't get camp set up until 8pm. We've got our fingers crossed that hubby can get all of thurs. off work.
