Wow they got Vampire Weekend even though they're playing Fox two weeks before this. Interesting. I will definitely not be at this unless they pull an Epicenter and sell $1 tix.

VW was the one I didn’t believe so shows how much my interpretation of info means lol but yeah this is absolutely garbages. Feels like a lazy, cut cost, attempt. Really hope this festival dies soon.
2/4 of the headliners have ATL shows coming up before the festival. (Billie Eilish tickets are up to almost $400 resale)
P!ATD got bumped up from 8th in 2015 to 2nd without doing anything.
Lizzo, Lord Huron, Tash Sultana, and Kali Uchis have all played here in the past month. Local Natives has a show next month at Buckhead Theater that's not sold out.
From just a value perspective, Lizzo and Eilish’s average secondary market ticket cost on their tours is more than the cost of this festival by themselves

There’s some nice undercard. Faye Webster, Dominic Fike, Reignwolf, Kali. All it would take is a solid headliner (Gambino/Weeknd even), and one decent sub HL (Kacey) and I’d be there but they don’t even clear that incredibly low bar.
No reason Lil Yachty should be #8 on this either. I get he’s from Atlanta but has absolutely no appeal beyond the gimmick of his character and his two sorta catchy songs from 3 years ago.

Laziest lineup I've ever seen.
Yea but these are most of tbe bands I want to see. I'm not going to any of their shows. Seems like a good deal for me to see them in one place.

I totally get going to this because it's economically worth it. That's the only value this festival has had to me in the past couple of years.

I've thought it's been crap for years but they actually have some pop stuff I like this year. VW, Billie, Lizzo, Banks, MO, Tash, Kali, Local Natives, Walk The Moon, Lord Huron is decent for a 2 day fest.

not a VW Guy?
Certainly a bright spot but no, not really. I heard their new show was cool but I’d have to check it out at a festival where they aren’t the best headliner.

they were amazing at Lollapalooza but I’m a fairly big fan

Well good thing Travis Scott is the best headliner on the lineup!

can’t wait to hear a way too loud rap show while getting pushed around by a bunch of white boys wearing overpriced streetwear who don’t know how to mosh properly.

If he does the same set he did at VooDoo, you won't be pushed around for long: a meh inspiring 50-minute set.
I haven’t listened to the new album, but I’d throw it up for a Band of Skulls show. We saw them in 2012 on Pensacola Beach, and it was a cool hard rock show with loud, buzzed out sound. I always thought I’d like to see them again from that fest. Saints of Vallory and Superchunk as well. I kind of need more hard rock sometimes. I hope they play Voodoo. I also love Reignwolf live. Otherwise, idk.
I’m still thinking that they gotta be adding a few more artists cause there’s 32 when it’s been like 35-36 in years past. But probably won’t happen
President of LiveNation Atlanta, Peter Conlon, just did an in-studio radio interview with 100.5 and they said there will be more acts added as it gets closer. Really enlightening interview honestly. He basically said this is the new Music Midtown, pop/pop-rock. Too many (better) festivals in the city so they had to "carve out a niche." Guess that niche is being an even shittier Hangout, which I didn't think was possible. One of the hosts also said, in essence, "the lineup doesn't matter, you go to have a good time and hang out with friends." Incredibly sad.
edit: he also said he wanted to book Ariana Grande, but she'll be in Europe
